“It makes me sad knowing this is my last yearasaLadyJacketandthatIwon'tbeableto play next year with my teammates,” senior Baylee Marcum said “Ithinktheteamisdoing well this year There have been a fewmistakes but nothing we can't overcome I'mgonnamiss seeing my teammates every day and being goofyandmakingjokeswitheachother”

After playing her whole life, senior Morgan Shaw is sad that her softball career is comingtoanend

“I am sad that the season is almost over,” Shaw said “I think we are doing pretty well Our team is finally coming together as one team I am going tomissthebusridesthemost becauseofallthefunmemorieswehave”

Playoffs started yesterday, and the girls play Game 2 of the first round tonight against White Oak With the regular season finished and graduation weeks away, seniors are emotional

“I'm sad for it to be over; I'm gonna miss being apartofateam,”seniorMelanieSpencer said “I think we are doing good Weare3rdin district I'm gonna miss practice with my friends, making jokes when we miss the ball, etc”

For many, high school softball does not only teach life lessons but also leaves them withlifelongfriendships
