When my first daughter was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, I turned to natural remedies to help her after she had a severe skin breakout due to a number of surgeries. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of

Jamaica with my

grand and great-grandparents where it was the norm to use herbs and oils for medicinal purposes, so when I got undesirable results from prescribed medications, I turned to my roots for a remedy. My blends of essential oils, herbs, and natural butters were what finally got my daughter some relief. My passion and knowledge grew and I later decided to channel them into developing my unique brand...and so NaturalAnnie Essentials burst into life!

Growing more and more annoyed with companies that valued black dollars over black lives, the couple decided it was time to start protesting the only way they knew how...through black ownership. Black Coffee NSNC came about after a popular coffee brand made headlines for not allowing an employee to wear a Black Lives Matter t-shirt.

Being a frequent patron of said brand, Cookie B began learning about coffee and how to brew her favorite drinks at home, so she could show her family and friends fun ways to turn their kitchens into their own personal coffee shops. The two are now committed to enhancing the coffee drinking experience through education and entertainment for black coffee drinkers looking to replace less "culturally conscious" brands with a black-owned brand that offers roast-to-order, gourmet coffee in flavors that highlight and celebrate black culture, like Hella Black, HBCU Homecoming, and Black Love.

TRIPLE BLESSED SUGAR SCRUBS Triple Blessed Sugar Scrubs & More is a small home based business. We take our time to make great products daily. Each product is tailored to hydrate and leave the skin moist and healthy. Being a mother of three we have tried a lot of products and each one seems to be missing something. So I wanted to create a line of products that each work in a different way but all providing the same result: soft silky smooth skin. Our soaps feel like smooth and creamy butter. The sugar scrubs are ever so gentle. The body butter melts into your skin leaving you rubbing your hands in disbelief of how soft they feel. My ultimate goal is to open a store front and create more jobs within the community, and help others find a product that works for their skin type.

DESTINYDARCEL Destiny is a 24 year old grad student who is studying user experience design. I began illustrating while in quarantine because I was sitting at home feeling creative. I just discovered I had this talent while in quarantine actually. My page kind of blew up from there and now my life consists of branding and adding a lot more Black Girl Magic! I plan on expanding in the near future. I never planned on being an entrepreneur. It feels like this year has given me the time and space I needed to cultivate that.

@DESTINYDARCEL ARTWORK I created this piece when I realized I had the platform to highlight the versatility of Black Women. The orange hair really highlighted that for me because I feel like everything is beautiful against our brown skin. Every color, wave and pattern.

It is my goal to highlight every combination of that.
