THE BISHOP’S SCHOOL AUCTION Since 1986, the Bishop’s auction gala has been a spring tradition, when the school community comes together for an evening of celebration with a serious purpose: To raise funds for the School’s Tuition Assistance and Faculty Professional Growth Programs

For the first time in the auction’s 34-year history, the community will not be gathering on campus. Instead, as we continue to follow the state and local health officials’ COVID-19 health and safety recommendations, Auction 2020 has been reinvented and rescheduled. In the spirit of community, we are hosting the School’s first virtual Livestream Auction on Friday, May 8, 2020.

While the tradition of a large gathering for an in-person auction will not take place, the purpose remains critically important to the School and its students.

The success of this effort on May 8 is crucial because one out of every five of our students is dependent upon financial assistance for their attendance next year. We anticipate that this number will become greater due to the pandemic. We welcome the generosity of those who give what they can so that students have the opportunity to succeed.

GENERAL AUCTION INFO WINNINGS Gift certificates will be mailed in the weeks following the event with a paid statement. Physical items may be claimed at the Volunteer Center beginning on Monday, May 11 at 10 a.m. To schedule your pick up, contact Beth Gallagher at gallagherb@bishops.com. Reservation dates for trips, vacation accommodations or outings should be arranged with the donor within 30 days of the event.

Friends have been most generous in donating their personal homes, condos and time. It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to leave the premises in the same condition found upon arrival.
