I learnt from the reports that all the states celebrated World Thinking Day and made fund-raising as one of the main activities. The funds are utilised by WAGGGS for its projects around the world besides helping the needy NSOs globally. The theme for this year is “Our World, Our Equal Future”. Our young boys and girls should organise activities related to the theme such as gender equality and climate change in the coming few months. Mowgli Land, the setting for Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Story, lies in Bordai, Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The land is proposed to be developed into a training centre of international standards. Our Director along with Shri Ashok Janvade, State Secretary and other officials of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Madhya Pradesh visited Mowgli Land recently. He along with the District Chief Commissioner, BSG, Seoni met the Collector, Seoni and discussed about development of National Training Centre and National Adventure Institute in Bordai, Seoni. I am happy to learn that the Collector, Seoni assured to provide more land and all possible support for the development of the training centre at Mowgli land. If it is developed, we can conduct a good number of events, particularly for Cub section. I am happy to hear that one of the rover of Karnataka state “Supreeth Balaji” was elected as Youth Representative for APR during the 10th APR Scout Youth Forum held virtually from 09th to 13th February, 2022 and Bharat Scouts and Guides has been recognised in number of sectors. 27th Asia Pacific Regional Scout Conference was held virtually from 15th to 21st February, 2022. The Regional Scout Conference is the forum and governing organ of World Scouting in the Asia-Pacific Region. It meets once in every three years. Let us wait to hear the resolutions of the Scout Conference. Physical courses and events are being restored after facing a prolonged threat from Coronavirus.I hope all the adult leaders as well as the Scouts and Guides protect themselves by observing all the Covid Protocols.
