TBF’s national network supports 6.8 M in the US who currently live with a brain aneurysm and families who have lost loved ones. Our reach extends internationally across the United Kingdom, Europe and South America and continues to grow each year with your support.

2020: Tricia suffers a ruptured brain aneurysm

2021: Shares her story with TBF and creates fundraiser race: “Six Miles for Six Months”

2022: Partners with TBF to launch the first official Race Series

2023: Assists TBF in creation of national Ambassador Program

2024: Joins fellow TBF Ambassadors on Capitol Hill for Brain Aneurysm Advocacy Day

2024: Honored at HONEYBASH for raising $25K towards TBF Best Practices

TBF JOURNEY

“My wife and I started the Matthew Friedman Memorial Foundation to try to do some of the good my son would have done in this world, impact a fraction of the people he could have impacted, if not for his brain aneurysm.”

April 2023: 19-year-old pre-med student Matthew Friedman passes away in his sleep due to an undiagnosed ruptured brain aneurysm

November 2023: Matthew’s family creates the Matthew Friedman Memorial Foundation in his honor to support brain research and emergency medical services

May 2024: The Friedman family joins forces with TBF as a vector to further research with the funding of the TBF Matthew Friedman Preventative Research Grant

November 2024: Dr. Tanyeri Barak is awarded research grant at HONEYBASH to study genetic risk factors in subarachnoid hemorrhage in pediatric and young adult patients

The Bee Foundation is dedicated to growth and transparency. 2024 marked our 10 year anniversary following a record year of contributions totaling $840,000. Our trademark TBF events not only celebrate this community but are solely responsible for over 50% of this milestone achievement.
