April 2023: 19-year-old pre-med student Matthew Friedman passes away in his sleep due to an undiagnosed ruptured brain aneurysm November 2023: Matthew’s family creates the Matthew Friedman Memorial Foundation in his honor to support brain research and emergency medical services May 2024: The Friedman family joins forces with TBF as a vector to further research with the funding of the TBF Matthew Friedman Preventative Research Grant November 2024: Dr. Tanyeri Barak is awarded research grant at HONEYBASH to study genetic risk factors in subarachnoid hemorrhage in pediatric and young adult patients
