Chemical Peel
A chemical peel is a skincare treatment that uses a chemical solution to exfoliate the top layer of skin and promote new skin cell growth. The chemical solution is typically made up of a combination of acids, such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), that work to dissolve dead skin cells and unclog pores

Chemical peels can help improve acne by removing dead skin cells and unclogging pores, which can help prevent breakouts from occurring. They can also help reduce the appearance of acne scars by promoting new skin cell growth and improving skin texture and tone.
Different types of chemical peels are available, ranging from mild to vigorous, and each type is designed to address various skin concerns. A mild to medium-strength peel containing salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or lactic acid may be recommended for acne-prone skin.

Overview of a Chemical Peel Treatment
Here are the general steps involved in a chemical peel treatment:
Consultation: The first step in any chemical peel treatment is a consultation. During this consultation, you will discuss the client's skin concerns, medical history, and any medications they are taking to determine if a chemical peel is a suitable treatment option.
Cleansing: Before the chemical peel solution is applied, the skin will be thoroughly cleansed to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup
Prep Solution: A prep solution will be applied to the skin to remove excess oil and prepare your skin for the chemical peel.
Application of the Chemical Peel Solution: The chemical peel solution is applied to the skin using a brush or cotton applicator The solution will be left on the skin for a few minutes, depending on the strength of the peel and your client's skin type. During this time, your client may feel a mild burning or tingling sensation.
Neutralization: Once the peel has been on for the desired amount of time, a neutralizing solution will be applied to stop the chemical reaction and remove the peel from the skin.
Soothing Products: After the chemical peel is removed, the skin will be thoroughly rinsed, and a soothing product, such as a cooling gel or mask, may be applied to help reduce redness or irritation.
Moisturizer and Sunscreen: A moisturizer and sunscreen will be applied to the skin to help protect it from the sun's harmful rays and keep it hydrated.
