It was a busy year along the corridor as we completed construction projects, added more art, welcomed businesses and hosted new events As always, thank you for being part of what makes our corridor so vibrant and special!

INFRASTRUCTURE
Duringthe2022 constructionseason,eightblocksof streetscape(that’s1/2mile!)were completedalongthesouthsideof IngersollfromMLKJr.Parkwayto 28thStreet.Improvementsmirrored theworkthatwasdoneonthenorth sideduring2020and2021,including widersidewalks,protectedbikelanes, parkingpavers,enhancedpedestrian amenitiesandplanterbeds.This transformationalstreetscapeproject keepsourdistrictsafe,welcomingand navigableforallmodesoftransport. TheAvenuesalsopartneredwiththe CityofDesMoinesonamarketing campaigntosupportlocalbusinesses andkeepthecommunityinformed duringthisimpactfultime.What's next?Reconstructionisslatedfor 2024toaddprotectedbikelanesand parkingstallstothestreetscape between28th-31ststreets.

Soozie McBroom (1946-2022) was one of the founding members of Restoration Ingersoll. She served nearly 25 years as President of the Board of Directors The board is dedicated to honoring her vision for Ingersoll Avenue and legacy through our continued efforts.
