**Theatre Sarnia Seeks Stage Directors for Musicals!**
Are you a passionate theatre enthusiast who has been involved in various aspects of our productions but is eager to take on more? If you're interested in the challenge of directing a musical, we want to hear from you!
Preference will be given to those with a background in theatre education or those who have actively participated in multiple facets of our shows and demonstrated their potential as strong candidates for directing
You will receive support along the way and have access to experienced mentors, dedicated volunteers, and valuable resources to help your creative vision flourish
Additionally, we're excited to offer a comprehensive workshop on directing musicals early next year stay tuned for more details!

The safety of performers at Sarnia's Imperial Theatre has been enhanced. Theatre Sarnia received a $16,300 grant by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) and held a celebration on November 29th prior to the opening performance of The Nutcracker. The funding went towards a brand new portable dance floor The dance floor is about 45 feet deep and about 60 feet wide and is an industry standard safe surface.
Unlocking the Power of Google Suite and Online Collaboration

On November 21, Dar-C Keane and I co-hosted a Google Suite workshop. Seeing so many of you eager to enhance your skills and embrace these powerful tools was fantastic!
During our session, we explored the ins and outs of Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets and how these programs can help creative teams share information, collaborate on ideas, and organize their visions. Everyone had such great ideas of how each tool could help their specific departments, and it was wonderful to have such enthusiastic and active participants.
Some of our key takeaways were:
Double-check your permissions: you want to ensure people have the appropriate access while protecting valuable information.
Email lists are vital: creating contact groups can save time, and you don't have to worry about accidentally forgetting anyone
Nothing is permanent: the version history menu shows what changes were made by whom and when, and you can always revert to an earlier version (especially handy if someone accidentally deletes your work).
Templates are gold: no one needs to reinvent the wheel. Many producers, stage managers, wardrobe leads, etc have created templates they reuse for shows Reach out to your community and share helpful resources Dar-C also has many templates to get you started.
No one is born learning how to use these tools: don’t get discouraged or overwhelmed if you can’t remember or know how to do something. That’s why online tutorials exist! Most learning comes through trial and error, and Dar-C and I are only an email away if you need help
