Everyone at TheatreiNQ is so very proud of all the young people mentored through The Bridge Project. The whole training programme has become an intrinsic part of who we are as a theatre company and members of The Bridge Project are involved in each and every one of our shows. But every now and then, a team of ‘bridgees’ align with a certain play, and a Bridge Project production is born. This is the story of The Puffs, but it might just as well be the story of The Bridgees. A bunch of misfits, who work hard, fail gloriously, but never stop trying; who cheer each other up and cheer each other on. Perhaps they won’t turn out to be the hero of the school, but that’s ok, we can’t all be Harry. What matters is that we were part of something, that we worked together and formed life-long friendships, that we stood for something and fought for something. That makes them all heroes to us.

TheatreiNQ is justly proud of our Training Division, The Bridge Project, which aims to guide regional talent towards a career in the professional industry.
Devised by Terri Brabon and Brendan O’Connor, The Bridge Project is a unique place-and-train model created by theatre professionals for the development of young, emerging performing artists. The training package incorporates structured learing, immersion training, one-on-one mentoring and informal learing opportunities. What makes The Bridge Project unique is the variety of opportunities TheatreiNQ offers and the personal attention every ‘Bridgee’ receives. Members of the program are set up to succeed and are supported every step of the way by industry professionals. Former Bridge Project members are always considered part of the TheatreiNQ family and continue to be mentored through the next phases of their training and/or careers, whilst offering mentorship to the next generation of Bridge Project Actors.
