WElcomE to

September will be all about remarkable and engaging theatre from all over the world: for five days we will be presenting a living collection of performances. This year, we will be setting off on a fascinating journey from an individual point of view, adding other stories, languages, ideas and perspectives on the way.

Our artists deal with major issues, demonstrating a strong personal commitment. They will be approaching the form of theatre like they seem fit, stretching the boundaries of image and language, appealing to our imagination and changing our views and way of thinking.

A collection is never finished. That’s why Festival De Keuze will not end in September, but will be extended by another five days in March 2016. And then on various outdoor locations all over Rotterdam!

So, you are very welcome to join us in the Rotterdamse Schouwburg and meet artists from all over the world. Come on in and let yourself be surprised by our collection of performances.

September staat in het teken van opmerkelijk en geëngageerd theater uit de hele wereld: gedurende vijf dagen presenteren we een levende collectie van voorstellingen. We vertrekken vanuit een persoonlijke fascinatie en voegen daar andere verhalen, talen, ideeën en perspectieven aan toe.

Onze kunstenaars behandelen grote thema’s op een manier die getuigt van een sterk persoonlijk engagement. Ze rekken grenzen op van taal en beeld, waardoor ze een beroep doen op onze verbeeldingskracht. Zo zetten ze onze blik en ons denken in beweging.

Een collectie is nooit af. Daarom stoppen we niet in september, maar gaan we door met nog vijf dagen Festival De Keuze in maart 2016. Dan op diverse locaties verspreid over Rotterdam.

Voor nu: wees zeer welkom in de Rotterdamse Schouwburg, ontmoet kunstenaars van over de hele wereld en laat je overrompelen door deze collectie voorstellingen.

EpiSodE 2 noW tWicE A yEAr! In September we will be taking over the Rotterdamse Schouwburg for five days and we will shake it to its foundations!

During the five-day festival edition in March artists will install themselves in public spaces with city life as their backdrop. We will, as ever, be offering you engaging and inspiring theatre from all over the world.

nu tWEE kEEr pEr JAAr! In september nemen we vijf dagen de Rotterdamse Schouwburg over en laten we het gebouw zinderen. In de vijfdaagse festivaleditie van maart nestelen de kunstenaars zich in het publieke domein en is het leven van de stad hun decor.

Steeds laten we geĂŤngageerd en inspirerend theater van over de hele wereld zien.

opEninG hourS Box officE The box office is open from Monday to Saturday from 14:00 to 18:00 hrs (or until the start of the last performance) and one hour prior to the show on Sunday. You can telephone the box office from Monday to Saturday from 14:00 to 17:00 hrs on +31(0)10 – 411 81 10.

opEninGStiJdEn kASSA De kassabalie is geopend van maandag tot en met zaterdag van 14:00 tot 18:00 (of tot aanvang laatste voorstelling) en op zondag vanaf 1 uur voor de voorstelling.

Je kunt de kassa telefonisch bereiken via 010 411 81 10 van maandag tot en met zaterdag van 14:00 tot 17:00.

diScountS Students, Vakpas cardholders and CJP cardholders only pay €10 for each of the performances during Festival De Keuze. You can also get a discount with your Rotterdampas (City Card) and Schouwburg Card.

kortinGEn Studenten, vakpashouders en CJPkaarthouders betalen voor de voorstellingen tijdens Festival De Keuze slechts € 10,00. Ook met je Rotterdampas en Schouwburgkaart krijg je korting.

dAy cArd Profit from our Day Card and see a combination of performances on the 24th, 25th, 26th or 27th of September. Day Cards are only available at the box office and cost € 30 or € 40 each.

The Day Card is not an admission ticket.

Please order your tickets at the box office or by telephone. On the day of the performance you can pick up your tickets by showing your Day Card at the box office or on site.
