About the authors
Tobias Romein (he/him) studied philosophy at Amsterdam University College and KU Leuven. His interests initially lay within the philosophy of science and later shifted to political philosophy. He is specifically interested in debates around distributive justice, critiques of neoliberalism and the nature of wealth.

Sybrand Veeger (he/him) finished his high school in Buenos Aires, after which he studied social sciences in Amsterdam. He wrote his thesis on the genealogy of European citizenship. While studying at KU Leuven, Sybrand’s interests have expanded to the fields of aesthetics, phenomenology and metaphysics. Currently, Sybrand is writing his master’s thesis on Spinoza’s theory of reason.
Daniel Greenways (he/him) is a student in the Research Master of Philosophy. He holds an MA in Philosophy from Concordia University, and an Honors BA in Philosophy from the University of Alberta. His current research includes topics in 19th Century German idealism, as well as 20th Century phenomenology and aesthetics.
Ester Van Ackere (she/her) is a student in the Research Master of Philosophy focusing on metaphysics and philosophy of culture. Before studying philosophy at KU Leuven, she obtained a master’s degree in French and Spanish linguistics and literature at Ghent University. She is currently working on a master’s thesis, researching Walter Benjamin’s and Furio Jesi’s reading of Johann Jakob Bachofen.
Judith van Lookeren Campagne (she/her) is currently finishing her MA in Philosophy. She is especially interested in political philosophy, phenomenology, and queer and critical theory. Next to her studies,she enjoys writing poetry and fiction.
Yutong Li (he/him) was born in Guangzhou, China and received his bachelor’s degree in law from Renmin University (Beijing) and in philosophy from KU Leuven. He works on Hans Blumenberg and phenomenology (especially Husserl and Fink), and is also interested in the Jewish variant of negative theology in the Middle Ages (Maimonides) and in the 20th century (G. Scholem).
Andrés Salazar Abello (he/him) is a student in the Research Master of Philosophy at KU Leuven. He also holds a Master in Ethics from UCLouvain and a double bachelor’s in philosophy and communications from Universidad de la Sabana (Colombia). His current work is focused on political philosophy, the ethics of migration, legitimate governance, peoplehood, sovereignty, and environmental ethics.
Lorenzo Buti (he/him) is a PhD student at RIPPLE, KU Leuven. He has obtained Master’s degrees in economics and philosophy (KU Leuven) and in European studies (LSE). His current research project aims to rethink the character of democratic action along insurgent lines in the face of material conditions that structure the stakes of the political stage.
