An Installational Exhibition Curated from the & Gallery Stockroom and the Rotary Opportunity Warehouse
Come in, sit down, soak up the experience, imagine these artworks in your own home. Everything is for sale—even the furniture.
In May 2025 the djprojects team purchased a small Motel in Tootgarook, now known as the & Art Motel. Our vision was to create a place where people could stay, relax, and be surrounded by art. A place to fall in love with a work, and perhaps take it home from the motel rooms or sculpture garden.
Our Living with Art exhibition extends this idea into the gallery, creating a domestic installation: a place where art sits among family photos, where a dining table becomes a plinth for sculpture, where creativity is woven into the everyday.
We thank our collaborators at the Rotary Opportunity Warehouse, run by the Rosebud/Rye Rotary legends on Henry Wilson Drive. This hidden gem of the Mornington Peninsula offers ever-changing furniture treasures, raising money for great causes. For this project we selected key pieces to create a lived-in setting, even including family photos (thanks to Napoleon, Tatlin & Dolores for their permission). Into this environment we placed artworks throughout.
As artists, we know the joy of living alongside art. This exhibition invites you to imagine how art might enrich your own spaces—whether bold or subtle, eclectic or harmonious. There are no rules: follow your eye, follow your heart.
Art brings delight, reflection, and beauty to daily life. It reminds us that creativity is not apart from living, but part of its deepest pulse. To live with art is to live more fully—attuned, inspired, and open to joy. - Julie Collins
