Shared by Lynn Roberts, Director, Ruscom Sta on, ON AIM is a company of integrity attested to my use of their products for 32 years. I give them credit in part for being able to do all the things I do at the young age of 76. I have been a Member of the AIM Family since 1989. My husband, my son, my daughter and I are pastors. I have eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, with the sixth on the way. My great-grandson, Levi John, is the little guy you see in one of these pictures drinking his favourite juice CoCoa LeafGreens mixed with RediBeets. He is the fourth generation in our family benefiting from a healthy lifestyle, which includes consuming the AIM products daily. Through generational wellness, we all love the AIM products! I was a jogger and physical fitness instructor for the YMCA and YWCA. I thought fitness was the answer to everything. Unfortunately, I developed plantar fasciitis, a common syndrome in runners that involves inflammation of the thick tissue running across the bottom of the feet. Combined with another chronic inflammatory condition that caused debilitating pain in every part of my body, I became almost totally bedridden. I was forced to walk with a cane or be supported by my husband s strong arm for over a year. These signs were telling me that my body was nutritionally deprived. Fortunately, I met the late Irene and Helmut Thiessen who owned a bookstore in my area. They gave me a jar of green barley juice powder and a video by Dr. Mary Ruth Swope. At the time, I did not believe in
such things and stuck the jar in the cupboard for three months. However, as the pain became more intense, I decided to try it. In a very short time, I started to get relief from the pain to the point where I no longer needed a cane. The green barley juice powder has since been renamed as BarleyLife. The new name was so appropriate as it really gave me a new life. Now I can walk five miles and bike seven miles in a day. For many years, I have been teaching a tenweek course on Nutrition and God s Word . I truly believe if we provide the proper nutrition and exercise for our bodies, they will repair and rebuild themselves. In one of the Member meetings, I met Dennis and Kay Itami, who shared the value of BarleyLife. I also met the late Teresa Schumacher who taught us the importance of cleansing with Herbal Fiberblend. When I first got started, I was encouraged to become an AIM distributor in order to help pay for my products. I now use an assortment of AIM products. I like to say that I am my own best customer. My husband and I start every morning with what he calls our power drink the Garden Trio (BarleyLife, RediBeets and Just Carrots), and I add in Peak Endurance. Going from the point where I thought my life was over to now feeling the best I have ever felt is nothing short of a miracle. I look forward to many more exciting and fulfilling years. Testimonials should not be construed as representing results that everyone can achieve.

As we settle back into normal, less indulgent eating habits after the holidays, being mindful of essential nutrient intake will help enable our bodies to make the most of the coming year. Nutrients are substances that our bodies need to function properly in order to build new tissues, repair damaged cells, and supply us with energy. An essential nutrient is one which our bodies cannot make on their own. Three nutrients that are commonly deficient in the world s population are iron, magnesium, and zinc.
Iron supports the blood s
role in delivering oxygen to every cell in the body, and as much as 80% of the world s population may be low in it. A lack of iron can result in fatigue and dizziness, headaches, lack of concentration, and increased risk of infection. Foods that provide iron include dark green leafy vegetables, legumes, shellfish, grass-fed meats, and eggs. Foods rich in vitamin C will aid in iron absorption while alcohol and caffeine-laden drinks may hinder it. AIM products containing iron include BarleyLife, CoCoa LeafGreens, and ProPeas.
Magnesium assists enzymes in carrying out important chemical reactions in the body, such as building proteins and strong bones and regulating blood sugar. It also acts as an electrical conductor that contracts muscles and makes the heartbeat steady. More than 35% of Canadians may not be meeting their requirements of it. A lack of magnesium may result in fatigue and weakness, muscle cramps, and other symptoms. Leafy green vegetables, many seeds, almonds, and avocadoes are some good dietary sources. Mag-nificence CWR is a magnesium bath additive that provides an effective way of increasing cellular absorption of this essential mineral without having to take an oral supplement.
Zinc is essential in supporting the immune system, childhood development, protein synthesis, cell growth, wound healing, and metabolism function. Between 10-35% of the population is at risk of zinc deficiencies, which can result in hair loss, diarrhea, decreased immunity, and loss of taste or smell, and delayed wound healing. Dietary sources of zinc include oysters, peanuts, split peas, pumpkin seeds, and pecans. Taking zinc alongside a good protein, such as ProPeas, has been shown to enhance its uptake in the body. Two AIM products containing zinc are CalciAIM and ReAssure SP. Plan to make 2022 a year of great health for you and your loved ones, and make addressing the body s nutrient requirements part of that! Part 2 of this article will be publish in the next issue.

What s Looming with Lora? Director Lora Wishart participated in a Christmas market in late November. Proceeds of the event went to a women s shelter in Midland, ON. I always take fresh produce from our garden to the women s shelter in the summer and fall. And my AIM business helps my donation further. I was able to speak to many people about AIM, my online group and my food donations, and hand out Magnificence CWR and AIM product catalogues at the event. It was a success!
