BRYC has always methodically prov ded Fellows with personalized attention outside of programs When the pandemic forced us to nhabit a virtual world, lack of in-person interaction proved a major barrier to gauging Fellows needs This called for a new system Ind vidual zed Fellow Support ( FS Through monthly surveys, Fellows self-report their socioemotional well-be ng With these data, Program Managers (PMs) build support plans for their cohorts pr or t zing Fellows reporting h gh need Plans may include helping Fellows book counseling appointments meeting with Guardians; and more For Fellows without urgent need, PMs might share leadership opportunities or simply a word of encouragement Th s fall, in-person programs are back, and IFS is here to stay

A partnership with The Baton Rouge Clinic Health Fellows (HF) is BRYC s first preprofessional program HF hosts monthly seminars w th experts in the field Fellows pursu ng healthcare-related degrees can apply for a $5K-$10K HF scholarship
