Annual Banquet Honors First Responders!

Many will never forget the tragic 2022 Christmas Day crash on U.S. HWY 64 that took the lives of Dustin and Brittany Dillard, when they were hit head on by a drunk driver. Also forever impacted are the first responders who arrived at the scene that night. These dedicated men and women were honored on October 17 (Brittany s birthday) during our 2nd Annual Banquet of The 24/7 Movement Banquet at Westmore Church of God.

By God’s grace and the swift actions of the following agencies, Dustin and Brittany’s three boys are alive today: The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Life Force and Life Star, and from Bradley County, the 911 Call Center, Sheriff’s Office, Fire & Rescue, and EMS. The evening’s highlight was when our three young heroes, Preston, Pierce, and Pryor, presented each First Responder with a personalized medallion. Over 370 people attended the banquet, including 45 students from Walker Valley, Bradley, and Cleveland High Schools, who volunteered at the event. We are deeply grateful to our friends, family, community and state leaders, and partners for supporting the family and embracing our mission. Dustin’s father, Matt Dillard, once again reminded us all that “God is at work! We are grateful to our generous donors who have contributed to The 24/7 Movement. Donations continue to come in, bringing us halfway to our $100,000 banquet fundraising goal, which will be reinvested in the community to combat impaired and distracted driving.

Thank you to all the partners and sponsors who made Safety Fest 2024 at First Baptist Cleveland on November 9th a success! Over 500 community members joined us for a day of family fun and safety activities focused on road, travel and home safety!

BCHS & CHS DEDICATIONS

Thank you to Bradley Principal Patrick Spangler and Cleveland Principal Bob Pritchard for the special Side-by-Side dedications!

Nighttime driving in December is significantly more dangerous than daytime driving.

Almost half (45%) of drivers involved in fatal crashes between the hours of midnight and 2:59 a.m. were drunk.

A recent study found that 25% of drivers in trauma centers had active THC—the compound found in marijuana in their system.
