Art Education at the YAM!

Dear Friends of the Yellowstone Art Museum,
Welcome to the Yellowstone Art Museum’s 58th Annual Art Auction—a joyful celebration of art, artists, and community!
For nearly six decades, this much anticipated event has brought together emerging and established artists whose creativity and vision shape and inspire our region. The Art Auction is the YAM’s signature event but, more importantly, it is a shared celebration of the vital role art plays in our lives and in our community.
We are thrilled to kick off this year’s auction events on February 6, with the Opening Artists’ Party and exhibition, honoring the remarkable artists who make this event possible. Throughout the month of February, we invite you to join us for engaging public programs and Artist Talks that offer meaningful connections to the work on view (see page 9). The season culminates with the Live Auction on Saturday, March 7—a festive evening bringing art lovers together in support of the YAM’s mission.
Proceeds from art auction events directly fund exhibitions and education outreach, ensuring that the Yellowstone Art Museum remains a dynamic, accessible, and inspiring place for all. Your participation—whether bidding, attending programs, or championing the artists—helps sustain and grow this impact.
Thank you for celebrating with us and for your continued support of the Yellowstone Art Museum. We are honored to share all that makes the 58th Annual Art Auction special and know that you will enjoy the exceptional art featured.
With appreciation and excitement,

Jessica Kay Ogdin

The looping arcs of wire echo natural rhythms—wind, grass, and migration—while the weathered materials carry the physical and historical weight of human labor, extraction, and boundary-making. Anchored by the heavy timber base yet reaching upward and outward, the sculpture suggests a quiet tension between constraint and freedom, inviting viewers to consider how the landscape records both natural forces and human intervention over time.
