REQUIRED CREDENTIALS: NEW YORK STATE Proof of fingerprints, CDL license with a passenger endorsement, successful driving record, a collaborative team member.
For substitute drivers, training will be provided if needed. A BONUS will be paid to sub drivers who serve the district after their training. Partial reimbursement of fingerprinting and CDL licensing costs will be given. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.
Bus monitor candidates must also have completed the fingerprint process through the New York State Education Department. The hourly rate for this position is $14.20. Training for the three-hour pre-service as well as the ten-hour basic course will be provided, if needed.

Douglas J. Khork, Sr.
AVOCA, NY: Douglas J. Khork, Sr., 79, passed away Wednesday (May 17, 2023)at the Fred and Harriett Taylor Health Center in Bath, New York.
He was born in Hornell, NY on Oct. 30, 1943 the son of Edward and Vivian (Pyer) Khork. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was married to Goldie (Keltz) on October 1, 1966.
Doug worked on road construction as a member of the Laborer’s Union and was the owner and operator of D & G Construction for 40+ years.
He was a lifetime member of the Cohocton American Legion and was an avid reader, anything history or military. He loved to hunt, sh, golf and travel and truly loved museums.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Goldie; his sons, Douglas, Jr. of Avoca, Daniel (Nikki) of Ohio, Sammy (Amira) Davis of Endicott, NY; grandchildren, Cassandra (Tyler) LaCroiix, Macayla (Kolby) Smith, Hali Khork and Alex Khork, Tasha, Sammy and Aaron Davis; great-grandchildren, Colin, Granger and Lena; also several nieces and nephews.
e family would like to thank the caring sta at the Taylor Health Center. Doug loved them like family.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Edward Khork; sisters, Constance Homes, Patricia Bloomquist and Nancy Khork.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Cohocton American Legion beginning at 12:30PM. Private interment will be in Bath National Cemetery.
In lieu of owers, those wishing may contribute in his memory to either the Prattsburgh Ambulance or the Activities Department at the Taylor Health Center.
