Hello,

My name is Dr. Susan Narby. I am running for a seat on the school board for the Bath Central School District.

I was born and raised in Bath and a 1988 Bath-Haverling graduate. I have a Bachelors and Masters degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences and Audiology from SUNY Buffalo. I receive my Doctorate degree in Audiology is from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2001.

After living out of state, my family moved back to Bath to be near our families and friends. The small-town atmosphere, strong sense of community, and excellent school district factored into our decision to raise our children here. I have owned and operated my own business, Southern Tier Hearing Services in Bath since 2002.

As an allied health care professional, I am a strong believer in service to others. I have enjoyed many hours of volunteer service within the community and with the school I will work with the community and school faculty to ensure that all our students have access to the highest quality of education.

My husband, Steve, is a Haverling educator and coach. My son, Ethan, is entering 10th grade in the fall and my son, Liam, graduated in 2018 and is now proudly serving in the US Navy.

Absentee ballots for the Hammondsport Central School District Annual Budget Vote were mailed out on Friday, May 22nd. This year District voters will be asked to approve the proposed 20-21 budget of $14,887,079 (a $110,076 decrease from the 19-20 school budget), elect one Board member, approve the purchase of two school buses, and establish a new Transportation Reserve Fund.
