William L. Gleason

BATH, NY: William L Gleason 76 of Bath passed away unexpectedly at home. He was predeceased by his parents Laverne and Alfreda Ferguson Gleason, and also by his only sister Brenda Gleason Schroeder.

Bill grew up in Bath and went to Haverling where he gained notoriety as a wrestler in the unlimited weight class. Bill worked hard most all his life starting as a paperboy in high school, then working at the old Babcock Ladder Factory and also at Phillips Lighting for many years.

In his younger years, Bill loved to go camping in the Catskills with his friends and going to car races. He was an avid reader and storyteller who pretty much kept to himself as he grew older. He loved the Buffalo Bills and always wore appropriate clothing on game day.

Bill never married but loved his faithful companion Sarah, a golden retriever. He said Sarah was good for him, making him go for walks around the neighborhood almost every night. When Sarah passed away a few years ago, she took along with her a big piece of his heart.

Recently, Bill enjoyed visiting almost daily with his cousin Corky (Carlton Gleason) and a few other friends over a cup of coffee at Dunkin Donuts. Bill also kept in touch with his Aunt Mary Jane Kinney of Florida and his cousin Thomas Kinney.

No calling hours or services are planned at this time. Arrangements are being established with Bond Davis Funeral Home of Bath.

May Park, 72, of Campbell, NY, went home to the Lord, with her family by her side, on April 8th 2023 a er a strongly fought battle with cancer.

Donna was born to the late Donald Sr. and Doris Horton on September 28, 1950 at Corning Hospital. She was a graduate of Campbell Central School.

Donna worked for many years at Westinghouse/ Philips Lighting in Bath, New York. Donna was a lifetime member of the Campbell American Legion, Bath Legion and the Moose. She was also a member of the Legion Riders.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bill Park, that was with her to her last breath. ey were always together and loved each other beyond words and through all obstacles life threw their way. She is also survived by her daughters, Tracy (Paul) Payne and Amy Park and her granddaughter, Kalyska Payne. She is their hero and they love her with all their heart. Donna is also survived by her stepdaughter, Kelly Park Childs, her step grandchildren, her siblings, Donald (Tammy) Horton, Carol Cannon, Larry (Janice) Horton, Tim (Linda) Horton, Betty VanDerho , Linda (Tim) Vallimont, Brian Horton and Kimberly (Raymond) Bailey, her sister-in-law, Nancy (William) Drum, her brother-in-law, David (Nancy) Park and many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, Aunt and Uncle and cousins.

Shall the Board of Education establish a capital reserve fund under the provisions of Education Law § 3651(1)?

The purpose of the fund is for construction, repair and reconstruction of capital improvements and the acquisition of equipment.   The ultimate amount of the fund shall be $10,000,000.  The probable term shall be 10 years.  The source from which funds will be obtained can include any or all of the following: incentive aid; non-appropriated fund balances from the general fund as determined by the Board of Education, from time to time; State aid related to expenditures from the capital reserve fund; interest income related to investments of money in the fund and any other additional monies thereafter authorized by the voters of the District.
