WAYLAND, NY: James Joseph Mulcahy IV, 48 was taken from us way too soon on February 25th, 2024 at his home in Wayland, NY. A ectionately known as "Jimmy" by his family and friends he was born October 20th 1975 in Hornell, NY and raised in Bath, NY. He attended Saint Mary's Academy and Haverling High School graduating in 1994. Jimmy went on to receive his associates degree from Corning Community College in Human Services.
He was a beloved father, son, brother and friend to many in the community that he called home for most of his life. Of those roles the one he was most proud of and cherished was being the father of Kendra Wake eld and Maliyah Mulcahy. He adored watching his girls grow and play sports as much as he adored his Philadelphia Eagles or LA Dodgers. His passions in life were collecting and trading sports memorabilia from a young age right through adulthood. Always chasing an autograph or meeting one of his childhood idles. He was a very talented artist which showed in some of the beautiful murals he has painted over the years with so much love in his children's bedrooms. Jimmy's heart was so and his family meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed by all who met him.
Jimmy is survived by his children, Kendra Wake eld and Maliyah Mulcahy; his love and life partner, Dawn Vosburgh; his mother, Florence Wilcox Mulcahy of Bath, NY; his sisters, Cathleen (Joe) Iannelli and Maureen(Andrew) Schuck of Penn Yan, NY; his half-sister, Jennifer Mulcahy of Bath, NY; his nephews, Joseph Iannelli, Brady Iannelli, Dante Iannelli, Reece Schuck, Peyton Schuck and Remington Tombs; great niece, Lydia Iannelli; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, James J. Mulcahy III; his grandparents, Alfred and Laura Wilcox and James and Cathern Mulcahy; and maternal uncle, Ed Wilcox.
Calling hours are 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at St. Mary's Church, 32 East Morris Street, Bath, New York. Where a Funeral Mass will be held following calling hours at 1:00PM.
