BATH, NY: Charles A.
"Charlie" Fink entered into eternity with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 10, 2023.
Charlie was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on March 27, 1936 to James Willis and Mary Pearl Fink. He and his family moved to Bradford, NY where he graduated from Bradford Central School and began working for Ingersoll Rand Corp. He then ventured into the boilermaking eld where he supervised construction of huge storage tanks for many national, regional, and local breweries and wineries. He then began employment at General Marble in Hornell, and retired from Bath Electric, Gas and Water Systems in March, 2000.
Charlie played as hard as he worked. He enjoyed hunting and shing in the great outdoors. In the 1950's and 60's he played bass guitar for the original Mississippi Gamblers, a country western band. He followed all things NASCAR, especially if it involved Dale Earnhardt, Sr. For ten years he made his annual pilgrimage to Daytona Beach, Florida to watch " e Man" in person at the Daytona 500. He was the neighborhood x-it man and could " nkalize" anything back to working condition. He excelled at welding and working with wood. We are sure he will be performing any needed repairs on the pearly gates. He built several houses in his lifetime and all are still standing today. He loved talking to people, and telling his corny jokes always brought laughter.
He is survived by Sandy, his wife of 45 years; son Kevin (Robyn) Fink and daughter Katherine "Kayt" (Matthew) Jewell; grandchildren Rory, Kylee, Rian, Maelyn, Adeline, and Steve Fink Jr.; brother omas (Margie) Fink and sister Mary (Roger) Kinney, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents; sons Randy and Steve; brothers J.R., Kenneth and Orville; sister Pauline; and grandson Chris.
Calling hours were observed on Wednesday March 15, 2023 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath where his Funeral Service was held at 2:00PM. Interment followed at Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, New York.

Linda (Wheeler) Saxton
On the morning of March 5th 2023, Linda Susan Saxton passed away at her home in Warrenville IL at the age of 72. Her nal days were spent surrounded by family and loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Tom; sons Eric R. Presher (Laura) and Michael B. Fulton (Deborah); daughters Hillary J. Saxton (Cli ord) and Maureen L. Murphy (Tony); grandchildren Nicholas Hepler, Madeline Presher, Connor and Tommy Murphy; four siblings and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Yolanda Wheeler, Wilbur "Bill" Wheeler and Vincent Guglielmi.
Linda was born in Washington DC in 1950. Due to her father's military career, the family moved several times throughout her childhood, before settling on the family farm in 1965 in Hammondsport, a village in western upstate New York. She graduated high school from Hammondsport Central in 1968. Linda married Tom Saxton in 1978, and their union would eventually see their growing young family travel to the Midwest, settling in the town of Warrenville IL in 1987 where she and Tom would reside for the next 35 years. While eager to embrace the metropolitan lifestyle o ered through living near Chicago, Linda would never quite forget her roots in upstate New York, and would make annual journeys with her children to visit the family farm and the nearby lake house cottage on the eastern banks of Keuka Lake.
roughout the years Linda would take on many roles to support her family. She set the standard as an active stay-at-home Mom while volunteering as Home Room mother and organizer of Battle of the Books at her daughter's schools. She was leader of two concurrent Girl Scout troops, and board member and o cer of the neighborhood Homeowner's Association. When she decided to return to the workforce, she brushed up on courses to transition into the computer age, starting out as a receptionist. Eventually, through hard work and dedication, she rose to the head of Human Resources at ASG Sta ng where she helped shape the department and lead in this role until retiring in 2019. Linda completely embraced her latest exciting role as Grammie following the births of her grandchildren. She devoted her love and energy into attending their activities and events, or visiting her granddaughter in North Carolina whenever possible. She loved and was immensely proud of them every day.
Out in the world, Linda enjoyed nature walks, the many local forest preserves, and the beauty of the lakes and vineyards of her home region; she loved the shorelines of seas, lakes and rivers as well as being in the sun. Her love of gardening nurtured many lush ower beds, herbs and the occasional tomato. She loved horses and cats, and was an adoptive mother to many kittens throughout her life. At home she was an innovative cook and continued to experiment with new recipes or ways to update a familiar dish. Linda celebrated every holiday large and small, but her grandest decorum was always at Christmastime. Her books of choice were mystery novels with a dash of historical ction, and her love of reading has been handily passed down through the generations. Linda loved travel and big events, so she also spent time planning weekend trips and attending live musical concerts, sports games, or food festivals - all of which required shopping for the perfect attire with her unique sense of style. She befriended others easily and forged lifelong friendships with neighbors, coworkers, and in-laws; some friends became like sisters and all of her sisters were friends.
Ultimately, Linda was a person who had a true zest for life and an adventurous spirit willing to try anything once. Her warm energy, her laughter and her smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
To honor Linda, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at the Wheeler Farm, Winding Stairs Rd, Hammondsport, NY from 12:00 Noon - 4:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.

CAMPBELL, NY: Barbara M. Horton, 88, of Campbell, NY passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Elcor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Horseheads, New York.
Barbara was born October 13, 1934, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Weaver. She married Dwight Horton on August 14, 1971, who predeceased her in August 2009.
Barbara loved spending time with her family and looked forward to the many gatherings to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and going to Black Lake. She never missed an opportunity to go dancing. She enjoyed socializing with friends from church and the senior citizens group. Barbara was an accomplished seamstress and especially loved making Barbie Doll clothes. Barbara had a strong faith and belief in the Lord.
Barbara is survived by four daughters: Sharon Ta of Bakers eld, CA, Linda (Timothy) Horton of Savona, NY, Judy ( omas) Watkins of Campbell, NY, and Katherine Snyder of Campbell, NY; one son, Charles Dickerson of Bath, NY; step-son, Rocky (Donna) Horton; step-daughter, Debbie (Harold) Dake; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Barbara was also predeceased by her sister, Beatrice Lorrow, and her rst husband, Laverne Dickerson. At Barbara's request, there will be no calling hours.
