ADDISON, NY: Phillip VanCise of Addison, New York, passed away on March 1, 2023, age 84, at his home surrounded by his family and friends following a short illness.

Phillip was the son of the late Harry and Frances (Young) VanCise. He served in the U.S. Army before going to work at Corning Glass Works. He enjoyed going to the tracks in Dundee on Friday nights, going to the Woodhull tracks on Saturday nights and watching NASCAR every Sunday.
He married Eva (Joyce) Groves who preceded him in passing, along with his infant son, Christopher. He is also preceded in passing by his sisters: Leona, Ellen, Dorothy, LeRay; brothers: Donald and Edwin. He is survived by his daughters: Roxanne (Clay) Beebe, Elisabeth (Dewey) Aumick; son: Dusty (Cheri) VanCise; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. It was Phillip's wishes that there'd be no services. A Celebration of Life for Phillip will take place at a later date. Flint Funeral Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

"Jack" James Stewart, Jr., age 87, of Royse City, TX, passed away December 26, 2022. An Avoca, NY native, he was born June 16, 1935, to Irene (Storms) and John James Stewart, Sr. Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956.
Jack was a good-hearted, caring, and sel ess man who touched many lives. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him as a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend; a man of unmatched integrity and honesty; and a mentor and role model of impeccable values and ethics in his home, workplace, and community.
Jack is survived by his wife Sharill (Anderson) Stewart; children: John James Stewart III, Douglas George Anderson Stewart, Joseph Jon Stewart and wife Debbie, Dianna Lynn Stewart and wife Juanita Bueno, Daniel Gareth Stewart and wife Melissa, and Christina Mabel (Stewart) Garley and husband Matthew; een grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters: Nancy Dodd and Linda Dygert. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Irene Stewart; brother: Edward Stewart; and sister; Dolores Stewart.
Relatives and friends are invited to join his family at Avoca United Methodist Church, 8593 Jacobs Ladder Rd, Avoca, where a Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023.

4) May not have been removed from any school district office within the preceding year (§2103(2).
5) May not reside with another member of the same school board as a member of the same family (§2103(3).

7) May not simultaneously hold another incompatible public office.
