BATH, NY: Patricia J. (Tremaine) Cook of Bath, NY, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2022. She was born on December 9, 1958 in Montour Falls, NY to Janice (Davis) and William Tremaine. Her parents and beloved ("Pop", Eugene Heskell) predeceased her. She was also recently predeceased by her beloved chihuahua Missy Sue.
Pat is survived by her loving daughter, Kari A. Coots and three special granddaughters: Delani, Aubri and Averi Coots also of Bath. Additionally, she is survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law Cinda and Charles Wheat of Bath and niece Morgan Draper (Zane) of Geneseo, New York.
Pat was a 1976 graduate of Savona Central School. After graduation, Pat married Gordon Sherwood and their daughter, Kari, was born. Once Kari began school, Pat worked at Camp bell-Savona School until October of 2000. She then went to work for Bath Electric, Gas and Water Systems, retiring in 2017.
Pat enjoyed her family, reading, cooking, and completing crosswords and Sudoku puzzles. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling, camp ing, attending music festivals, and riding her Harley-Davidson on beautiful days, as there was nothing more freeing.
Pat was extremely proud of Kari's indepen dence and accomplishments (telling her often) and of her, "precious grandbaby girls. She was nicknamed, "Mema Cookie" by them and embraced it to the fullest.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday November 27th at the VFW in Bath from 1:00 4:00 PM. All who wish to come and share mem ories and laughs are invited.
In Pat's memory, contributions may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA at 72 Cameron Street, Bath, NY 14810. She had adopted several special kittens from there. Most of all, it is encouraged that you live everyday to the fullest, never taking anything for granted, Begin each day with a grateful heart and spend as much time with your loved ones as you can. Be kind to others and help when you are able. Life is short.

The proposal will eliminate District 6 (Dansville, Hornellsville and Hartsville) and District 8 (Bradford, Campbell and Wayne) and incorporate them into the new districts as follows, with no change in the total number of Legislators
District 1: (City of Hornell, Towns of Dansville, Hornellsville and Hartsville) absorbs current legislative District 6 and maintains the current number of legislators assigned to both districts, with representation in the new district set at three legislators.
District 3: (Towns of Bath and Bradford) adds the Town of Bradford, from District 8 with representation remaining at the current level with two legislators.
District 5: (Towns of Urbana, Prattsburgh, Pulteney and Wayne) adds the Town of Wayne from District 8 with representation remaining at the current level with one legislator.
District 7: (Towns of Campbell and Erwin) adds the Town of Campbell, from District 8 and adds one legislator, bringing the total number of legislators representing the district up to two legislators.
