We hope to hear from landowners with land that used to be agricultural land, but is not being actively managed or harvested, or brush/scrub/young forest land. Scientist believe that reforesting land will help reduce the effects of climate change. Most of the land in New York State that could be reforested is privately owned. Your participation will help us evaluate landowner willingness to reforest land throughout Steuben County. The discussion group will include about 8-10 local landowners and will be audio-recorded. We’ll ask a variety of open-ended questions to generate discussion. The group will last about two hours.
