BATH, NY: Gary Robert Strait, age 59, of Bath, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2023, doing what he loved - riding his Harley and getting some “wind therapy”. He was born December 12, 1963, to the late Barbara A. (Robinson) and Gary R. Strait. He is survived by his brother John (Lisa) Strait, sisters Betsy (Ron) Becker, Cheryl Wright, Marcy (Mike Joles) Bell, and Valerie (Bob) Howe. He is also survived by his beloved aunts and uncle, Bonnie and Albie Mori and Linda Strait, as well as many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-niece, and many cousins.

Gary loved his family and was a loyal friend to many people. He was dubbed the “Facebook King” by his cousin, Mike Lisefski, and so many are already missing his morning posts. He has been reunited with his mom and dad and will now be our guardian angel. When you see an eagle ying high or sitting majestically, please think of our beloved brother.
Calling hours will be held at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home in Bath, New York on Saturday, February 4th from 11:00AM - 1:00PM with services immediately following. Burial will be held in the spring at the Glenview Cemetery in Pulteney, NY.

J. "Rose" Ketchum e family would like to expend their gratitude and thanks to all the sta that cared for Rose at Fred and Harriet Taylor Health Center. e Bishop & DeSanto Funeral Home, 35 Main St., Hammondsport is honored to assist Rose's family with the arrangements.
Steele, of Ash Street, passed away Friday (January 20, 2023) at Fred & Harriet Taylor Health Center, a er a short illness.
Born in Hammondsport on January 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Genevieve (Brown) Rice.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by rst husband, Jan Ketchum; second husband Guy Steele; brothers William Rice, Harold Rice; and sister Margery (Rice) Beers.
Rose graduated from Hammondsport Central School and continued her education at the Corning Community College School of Nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse.
She had a love for caring for people, using her nursing degree as she moved around the country. She worked in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and again in New Hampshire. e second time living in New Hampshire she owned and operated her own nurse sta ng agency. A er selling that business, she moved to Florida and worked for the Florida Department of Corrections. Ultimately returning to New York, she worked as the Wine Room Tasting Manager at Bully Hill Winery, until her retirement.
Rose loved her cats, playing euchre, painting, and visiting with friends. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is lovingly survived by her four children, Bradley (Staci) Ketchum of Virginia, Brian (Becky) Ketchum of Hammondsport, Brenda (Tim) Peters of New Hampshire, and Brandon Ketchum of California; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother Richard (Susan) Rice of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
To honor her wishes there will be no calling hours or services.
