TOWN OF AVOCA The Town of Avoca is receiving bids for the mowing of grass and miscellaneous maintenance on the five cemeteries maintained by the Town. Bids will be in one lump sum for the 2021 mowing season.

Bids will be received until 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the office of the Town Clerk located at 3 Chase Street, Avoca, New York 14809 or mailed to Avoca Town Clerk, PO Box 29, Avoca, New York 14809. Bids may also be emailed to avocatownclerk@stny.rr.com.

Each cemetery will be mowed and trimmed weekly under the terms of the contract. The person is responsible to furnish and maintain all equipment and labor to fulfill the terms in this contract. The person will furnish a Certificate of Liability Insurance Proof upon acceptance of the job. The person agrees to remove all paper, glass or any other debris from the cemeteries before each mowing.

The Town of Avoca does not assume any responsibility for any equipment damaged by sticks, stones, concrete, black top and or any other objects hidden or visible located in the mowing areas.

The terms of this contract shall commence on April 1, 2021 and end on November 30, 2021. This agreement shall automatically renew for a period of one year unless terminated or modified by either of the parties on or before January 1, the following year.

Modifications of this contract must be agreed to by both parties for the extension of this contract to be valid. In the event that the agreement, by both parties,or the modification cannot be made, the Town of Avoca reserves the right to receive new bids.

Any person bidding on this contract must meet with the Town Highway Superintendent, before submission of their bid, to establish boundaries at each cemetery to eliminate any dispute that may arise during the contract period.

The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all the bids submitted.
