The UK is globally one of the top markets for the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) sector, with major activity in policy and project pipeline. EICDataStream currently tracks over 20 SAF projects in the UK. Very recently, the government has selected 17 projects to share £63 million in grants under the third round of the Advanced Fuel Fund (AFF) competition. The aim of this fund is to support the feasibility/pre-FEED/ FEED stages of the projects, helping them move to construction. This funding is expected to strengthen the UK’s position as a global leader in green aviation and brings the total investment for the AFF scheme from the government to £198 million.
EIC Consult News

The Consult team has delivered a series of strategic reports. Highlights include two recurring projects: the quarterly global market report for Scottish Development International (SDI), covering the Renewable sectors and featuring an analysis of OBBBA’s impact on the global industry, and the quarterly global market report for a client in the maritime sector, focused on EPC projects. Additionally, we’ve completed a global market study for a logistics client, with particular emphasis on developers and contractors.
We have been mapping the Italian supply chain market. It is currently displaying 517 companies from all the energy sectors, but this is still a work in progress, so we’ll keep adding more companies in the following months. Checking current data, the predominant sector is Oil & Gas, with 399 companies (75% of the market). Renewable follows behind with 40% of the companies active in this sector. Around half of the companies are headquartered in Lombardy.

EICAssetMap just got a new upgrade! This new version of EICAssetMap is closely similar to EICDataStream so that members can easily find the information needed without any hassle. Members can now track all 5,079 assets in the Middle East, Africa, and CIS regions during their entire life cycle, from initial planning to decommissioning, all in one click. This feature is also available for other regions, so be in contact with our Business Development Team if you haven’t already subscribed to EICAssetMap. (OPEX)
We are working on an API that will allow members to use EICDataStream data directly on their own project management or CRM systems, or using analytical tools such as PowerBI. The pilot scheme (of three member companies) has run for some months and has taught us some valuable lessons. Over 80 Global members have already expressed interest, and the API will be formally announced in the Autumn membership renewal letter.
