While challenges remain around policy, funding, and supply chains, integrated solutions like wind-hydrogen hybrids and cross-sector collaboration offer exciting opportunities for accelerated progress.
Nearly 100 attended EIC’s first OTC breakfast in Houston, offering key networking across the energy value chain. A panel discussed the future of US offshore oil and gas, workforce shifts, rising costs, and investment challenges. Despite uncertainties, there was clear long-term optimism. JOIN US FOR THE 2025 EIC CHARITY WALK
The Energy Industries Council’s 2025 charity event features a marathon-distance walk through London. After only two completed the 80km walk in 2023, this year’s challenge is more accessible. We are raising funds for the National Trust’s mission to plant 20 million trees across the UK by 2030. Stay tuned on our social media for donation details and support our journey toward a greener, sustainable future.
Remembering
the 2023 EIC Charity Walk
In 2023, to celebrate the Energy Industries Council’s 80th anniversary, our team embarked on an incredible challenge, an 82.1-kilometer walk completed in just 19.5 hours and raising £5,000. Starting in Maidenhead on August 15th, the route stretched along the Thames, finishing at Embankment in Central London on August 16th. With 25 #EICwarriors taking part, the team covered an astonishing 108,000 steps.
The walk supported the
National Trust’s mission to plant 20 million trees across the UK by 2030, a vital initiative to combat climate change by capturing around 300,000 tonnes of carbon annually. A special shoutout to Neil Golding and Nabil Ahmed, who conquered the full distance. Their resilience and dedication exemplify the spirit of #teamEIC, making a real difference for a greener future.
