EIC Connect Germany Brochure 2025

FOREWORD

Welcome to EIC Connect Germany 2025.

This is our first Connect event in continental Europe, hosted at the British Embassy in Berlin. We chose Germany for a clear reason. With more than 440 tracked projects and an estimated $367 billion dollars of potential spend across hydrogen, renewables, CCUS, gas, grids and nuclear decommissioning, Germany sits at the centre of Europe’s energy future.

The scale is impressive and brings real responsibility for all stakeholders, including policymakers and the energy supply chain. Project owners need partners able to deliver safe, bankable projects at pace. The supply chain needs confidence in policy, regulation and access to market.

EIC’s raison d’être is to close that gap and help our members and wider network win work in complex markets and market conditions.

Our series of Connect events – held across the globe from the Americas to Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific – work best when they

stay grounded in real projects and honest discussion, and that’s exactly what we deliver. Today, you will hear from operators, developers, system operators, financiers, government and trade bodies. They will set out where they see growth, what keeps them awake at night, and what is needed for the supply chain to expand into new markets and diversify and grow their business.

Use this event as an opportunity to visit our exhibitors. Sit down for oneto-one meetings. Ask direct questions about scope, timelines, risk, local content and partnership models. Share what you do, where you have solved similar problems, and where you can grow.

EIC is proud to work with the Department for Business and Trade, Scottish Development International and our German partners on this event. Thank you for joining us. I hope you leave Berlin with new insight, new contacts and, most important, the start of new business.

Viel Erfolg!

MESSAGE

We are delighted to announce our first-ever Continental European Connect event: EIC Connect Germany. As Germany embarks on one of the most ambitious energy transformations in Europe, the moment has never been better for UK and European supply chain companies to engage, collaborate, and help shape the country’s evolving energy future.

Germany’s commitment to accelerating its transition is creating exceptional opportunities across every part of the energy value chain. According to EICDataStream, there are currently 440 active projects spanning all energy sectors, from renewables and the energy transition sectors to power generation and transmission and distribution. These projects represent a potential investment value of $367 billion, reflecting both the scale and maturity of Germany’s transition plans.

Despite the rapid and sometimes challenging shifts seen across global energy markets in recent years, Germany’s trajectory remains firmly focused on long-term transformation and investment. The country continues to prioritise large-scale decarbonisation, with a key focus on

hydrogen and the implementation of their Hydrogen Core Network, energy security, and the integration of innovative technologies. This sustained commitment is creating a reliable pipeline of opportunities for suppliers who can bring expertise, efficiency, and innovation. For companies ready to expand or strengthen their presence in Europe, Germany’s forward momentum offers a uniquely stable and strategically important market.
