TERMS TYPES OF FABRIC QUALITIES:

Bonded micro fleece: Two layers of microfleece laminated together.

Heavy jersey: Same type of knit as single jersey. ‘Heavy’ refers to the higher weight of the fabric.

Interlock: Type of knitted fabric.

The fabric is a double knit construction, which makes it thicker and heavier than a single knit.

The fabric is soft and firm with a little stretch.

Micro fleece: Type of knitting.

The fabric has a wooly structure and is warm and soft. Wash at low temperature, maximum 30˚C. Oxford: Type of woven fabric.

Pique: Type of knitted fabric.

Mostly used for poloshirts.

Polar fleece: Same as micro fleece, except the structure is thicker.

Poplin: Type of woven fabric. It is a plain weave, the front- and backside of the fabric are the same.

Single jersey: Type of knitted

fabric. The fabric is flexible, stretchy and has a soft touch.

Softshell: Fabricquality which exists of several layers. The fabric is water- and wind repellent and also breathable.

Super heavy jersey: Same type of knit as single jersey. ‘Super heavy’ refers to the higher weight of the fabric.

Sweat: Type of knitting. The fabric is thicker then single jersey and is warm and comfortable to wear. This fabric can be brushed on the inside which gives a soft touch for more comfort.

Twill: Type of woven fabric. The structure of the fabric shows parallel diagonal lines. Some examples of twill fabrics are chino, denim, gabardine and tweed.

TYPES OF TEXTILE FIBRES: Cotton: A natural fiber which is strong, soft and absorbent. Easy to wash and dry. Cotton wrinkles easily, however the fiber has a good heat resistance, so the fabric is suitable for ironing.

Elasthan: A synthetic fiber which is very stretchable and has the capacity to revert to its original shape.

Lycra: Same as elasthan. Lycra is a trademark name registered by the company Invista (formerly DuPont Textiles and Interiors).

Micro fiber: Very thin fibers made of synthetic material. Micro fiber fabrics have a very soft touch.

Nylon: Same as polyamide Polyamide: A synthetic fiber which is strong, water repellent, flexible and retains its shape.

Wash at maximum 40˚C and iron at low temperature. Polyamide dries very quickly. to air, if use of dryer use at low temperature.

Polyester: A synthetic fiber which is extremely strong and durable.

Easy to wash and dry.

Rayon: Same as viscose.

Spandex: Same as elasthan.

Spandex is the preferred name in North America.

Viscose: A fiber made from regenerated wood cellulose.

Viscose has similar properties as cotton. Viscose is more shiny and has a soft and silky touch.

USED TEXTILE TERMS: Bio wash: Same as enzyme wash.

Combed cotton: Softer fabric

then ring-spun. Shorter cotton fibers are removed by combing of the yarn during processing which gives a smooth and very soft fabric.

Enzyme wash: A finishing process of the garment using organic enzymes to create a washed or aged effect in the fabric. This process is also used to make the surface of the fabric smoother and softer. And it reduces the shrinkage and pilling of the fabric.

Flatlock: Type of stitch. It is mainly used for decoration of the garment.

Pre-shrunk: Fabric has undergone a treatment to reduce the shrinkage of the fabrics.

Ring-spun cotton: Fine cotton made of only high quality fibers.

It makes a soft and strong fabric.

Sand wash: A finishing process in which the garment is washed with sand to soften the fabric.

Sanforizing: Treatment to reduce shrinkage of fabrics.

Tagless: No label in neck, only a print.

Tubular fabric: Fabric which is knit in a tube form without side seams.

When an order consists of less than 200 pieces, we use a standard Lemon & Soda model/ fit. Contrast small accents are possible f.e. contrast buttonhole, contrast stitching etc.Various labels, prints, embroideries and badges are also possible starting with an order of 100 pieces.

When you order over 200 pieces you may also choose contrast parts, a tipping and/or other contrast accents. You may use these possibilities to further enrich the clothing.

Custom-made garments can be produced in any colour. Naturally, we are bound to a minimum amount of pieces.

From 250 pieces you can colour the clothing in your own PMS colour. This number can be divided into two models if the minimum number per model is 100 pieces. For example, you may order 150 pieces for him and 100 pieces for her.

When you order under 250 pieces, we use colours which are readily available.

You indicate your desired PMS number and we will find the matching colour. We try to approach the colour as good as possible. In most cases we are able to use the indicated colour exactly as requested.

STEP 3 QUALITY Your private label product can be made in many different qualities and with different weights; we can advise you which material suits your clothing best.

A t-shirt can for example be composed of 100% cotton, polyester with cotton, 100% polyester or cotton with lycra. In addition, a t-shirt for example may weigh 160 g/m2 or 180 g/m2.
