And now…a message from Mistah Wilson Greetings, everybody and thank you for checking out our April 2015 issue of ThaWilsonBlock Magazine. I felt it was necessary that I take this time to write to our readers.

We’ve been utterly dedicated to ThaWilsonBlock Magazine from tha start. After 2 years of exclusive issues, we, and especially I, would like to thank our readers for giving us a reason to make a difference in tha world today.

Our publication is turning into what we envisioned. We are excited about the future of ThaWilsonBlock Magazine. Our magazine isn’t just about Hip Hop and rappers. It isn’t just about music. Every issue, we look to do something different and interesting. From animals to interesting public figures. Our publication is set to fill a void for tha everyday citizen. In tha world we live in today, all we want to do is encourage people to be the best they can be. Speaking for myself, between the issues of 25 & 26, I have a newfound love and appreciation for life, society, and most importantly, myself. After overcoming tests, hurdles, and miscellaneous obstacles, I have come to tha realization that I must care for myself if I truly care and want to help others.

I’ve been depressed on a roller coaster of emotions…and I do not like to ride roller coasters lol. I had vision with little direction and it was difficult for me to control my passions (and I mean good, unsinful passions). Today, I owe my life, freedom, and God-given drive & ambition to Jesus Christ my Lord & Savior. He has been there for me my entire life. He’s given me unthinkable courage, strength, and integrity that I will forever value in my life. He has walked with me when I should have been walking with him. And because he is merciful, he granted me a 2 nd chance to follow him and lead others to him. For I believe that through Christ Jesus all things are possible.

And when I reflect on tha things I’ve done. It shows. And it reminds me that he is real. That he is there. Waiting for me (us) to willingly seek him out. Jesus Christ is tha reason you are reading this message from me right now. I reached a breaking point, and he restructured me. Because I chose to trust him…and give him my worries. Today, my heart bleeds in humility. He has not given up on me nor forsaken me. I didn’t think I was strong enough until he showed me I was.

What Jesus Christ has sent me through opened my eyes. Before, I recognized my potential. Now, I realize my worth. And because I know that I have a truly sincere heart, that all I want to do is good in tha world. To be a positive role model. Because it’s something that even some of my biggest influences failed at. As you read this issue of ThaWilsonBlock Magazine, please know that Jesus Christ loves you and is waiting for you. Through him, you will be safe and have opportunity for tha life you never knew you wanted. Life is tough. What other option do you have?

The man with a plan. Manyang Reath Kher has been a tremendous advocate for the people of his country. On his Feed50k campaign, Manyang is turning The Humanity Helping Sudan Project into a symbol of hope not just for families and refugees in Sudan, the world’s newest country (respectively), but even for citizens here in America who have similar struggles in life. On his visit last year (2014) to Pasadena, Manyang was humbly ambitious as he raised awareness of his organization and how they make a difference in the lives of people in Africa. During his visit, Manyang guest appeared on The Color of Success Talk Show hosted by Ontresicia Averette & Carolyn Wiggins at Pasadena Media as the show gives us a deeper look into the history and current situation of Sudan, and how Manyang’s impact compliments the efforts that ought to be made today.
