Cover Story We chose to honor the Horse for our 14th issue because this is an animal that humans have relied on for centuries. Both wild & domestic, the Horse has provided muchneeded transportation (of people/goods) and has been used in countless wars & battles. They are also used in competitions, sports, breeding, recreation, and just plain simple work. Horses have also been used heavily in industry.

What other animal qualifies for “Man’s Other Best Friend� other than tha great horse? There are known to be almost 60-80 million horses on tha planet. They have good memories and distinct attributes that set them apart from that of tha Zebra, Donkey, Pony, or Mule.
