After making serious noise in the modern funk world, XL Middleton makes a return to the g -funk/hip hop sound that marked his earlier work with "2 Minutes Till Midnight." It’s a funked out, synth-heavy excursion with an equal amount of appeal for modern funksters or the underground legions of g -funk fans that put XL on the map originally.

'Serious Times' is another 4 -track set comprised of Kaidi's unmistakable style, encompassing broken beat, jazz, boogie and hip hop. The EP starts off with the hype jazz -funk bruk of 'Cost of Living', maintaining the tempo into 'Don't Cry Now' which leads with a sweet latin-tinged piano riff. Onto the flipside, and we're treated to the slinky synth -boogie of 'Sugar' before dropping the tempo down & closing the selection with a warped but jazzy instrumental boom bap piece entitled ' Zallom'.

Iconic Hip Hop legends Schoolly D and Ice-T announce their highly anticipated collaboration, 30 years in the making!

The duo enlists DJ Starscream, ‘The Rhyme Animal’ OG himself, Chuck D, and Grammy winning studio engineer Phil Nicolo. “The Real Hardcore” is scheduled to premiere on LL Cook J’s Rock The Bells Radio and release on digital platforms October 1st, while 250 copies of 7” vinyl’s will be shipped in mid-October.
