“When you take a day or two off and work is still getting done,” says Imani Akil about his True Spitters team working hard to get their new website off the ground.

“I appreciate my team.” The True Spitters camp has been making quite the bit of noise of Pasadena’s music scene.

Word on the street is that TS not only has new music & production services on the way, but they are helping to revive the Alkebulan Cultural Center, a local community center for arts, learning, culture, & history located just above the Teen Center in La Pintoresca Park.

True Spitters is more than just a crew of artists. They are a crew of artists who care about the community and the places we live & grow up in. The group has been non-stop helping out at the center with Food Drives every Thursday, drum circles, dance classes, and even keeping it a safe haven for members of the community to come in.

Imani Akil, who just graduated music school with a degree in engineering & production, is looking to launch a slew of services that cater to virtually every facet of the entertainment business. “From music to photography, we have it all covered,” adds Imani during an exclusive meeting with members of the group. The True Spitters crew have also embraced the local music scene’s #BringingItTogether movement where artists demonstrate unity by way of example in photos. ♠♠♠
