MANAGER’S MESSAGE
Happy March 2026!!
We hope this newsletter greets everyone with good health and happiness. Here we go, blink our eyes and another month gone. It is so hard to believe that March is already here.
We finally had a few snowflakes in February. Nothing really that stuck but enough to talk about. I believe that was all the snow this winter brought to Sundial even though we have another month before spring arrives.
Speaking of spring, we find this to be the most beautiful time of the year here at Sundial. All the spring flowers are blooming, rhododendrons all over the property are in bloom, and residents are starting to think about their gardens. The sun is shining longer each day and residents are out walking. It is just a wonderful time of year.
February was a quiet month for events. We had our usual Birthday Celebration, Potluck, and Breakfast. Unfortunately, winter brings about colds and the flu, so we had many residents staying home trying to stay well.
Mark your calendars for March 7th for our TOUR OF HOMES! We are looking forward to a great turnout and having a fun contest going on for visitors. If you would like to come out to look at the homes, please do and bring a guest! You may want to take advantage of our in-house Trade-Up offer.
March 8th is Daylight Savings Time. This is the best time to change the batteries out in your smoke detectors, flashlights, and any other device you have that is there for emergency purposes.
March 17 is St Patrick’s Day, and we will be serving up our Annual Corn Beef & Cabbage Dinner. We look forward to seeing everyone and don’t forget to wear your green.
We’d like to thank everyone, again, who has provided their Emergency, Age Verification, and Homeowners Insurance information. If you haven’t turned in the paperwork that you received from Commonwealth, please do so. It is so important. If you can’t find them or misplace them, please stop by the office and pick up another set of forms.
March 20th we will have a Flea Market in the Sundial Center. We’ve had so many residents ask about this. It’s become quite a favorite event. March 27th is Donation Day.
We hope everyone can enjoy the month of March.
As always, THANK YOU, to all our volunteers who help others in our community. We have the best community in Salem, and it is because of the wonderful residents who live here. Thank you for all that you do.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS & CHANGES
If you are interested in having a table at the Flea Market on the 20th of March, Donelle Harvey is helping to organize the Flea Markets and Donation Days moving forward. Her phone number is 971-645-2741 and email donelle.harvey@gmail.com. You can also contact the office to reserve a table.
The Dry Pantry in the old mailroom located in the Villa area is open for residents to bring dry, non-perishable food for residents to take home. We see a lot of items being left in the room that is not food. Please do not leave items other than food in the room. You can bring the items you no longer have use for to the Donation Days. We are trying to keep this room managed with dry, non-perishable food only. We thank everyone in advance for contributing to the community.
Each month on the 1st Tuesday of the month, a group of residents get together to plan fun events for the next month. If you are interested in participating in this planning session for the community, please join the group. We have a lot of fun here as a community and your interests and/or ideas are greatly appreciated. Also, if you are interested in volunteering at our events, please contact Laura Lee at 503-907-5011. We always can use the extra help.

BIRTHDAY MONTH CELEBRATIONS
Do you have a birthday coming up? We invite the community to come join our Birthday Residents in celebrating another year. This event is not only for those celebrating their birthday. We hope others in the community join in their celebration. We hope to see you at next month’s celebration for some cake and ice cream and to sing Happy Birthday to our Sundial Birthday Residents!
