Happy July Sundial Residents!
It’s hard to believe we are in the summer months once again. It’s been a beautiful Spring here in Oregon. The first day of summer met us with two days of straight rain. Just enough to give our gardens and yards a boost of mother nature before the hot days of summer are upon us.
We have a big announcement and are happy to host, once again, a Tour of Homes on July 19th between 10am and 2pm. This is a time to showcase our property, our New Homes, and wonderful amenities that many of our residents use daily. We will be serving brunch bits and refreshing beverages inside our New Homes and end the tour with a BBQ at our pool area. We invite residents to bring their friends and family and remember, if you refer someone to buy one of our new homes, we will send you a $2000.00 referral check! If you are interested in participating, please RSVP with the office by July 16th. We will have a $100 drawing for residents who bring a guest. Hope to see you there.
Mike Devine is hosting a Guitar Jam session on Monday nights at the Sundial Center between 6pm – 8pm. If you are interested in meeting some musicians from Salem and Sundial, bring your guitar or musical instrument and have some fun. The 2025 Sunflower Growing Contest is in full swing. I am enjoying all the comments I hear about how fun this is and how big some of our residents’ sunflowers are getting. It’s amazing what a little seed can do for our souls. Keep up the growth!!
MANAGER’S MESSAGE
We’ve started a bit of a trend here at Sundial which began with the state of Oregon banning Styrofoam cups. This led us to buy paper cups which are not a favorite of ours. We have a lot of coffee drinkers here at Sundial and they are hot to the touch. We’ve decided to ask our residents to donate coffee cups to the Sundial Center or Bring Your Own Cup (BYOC). We thank everyone who has donated or brought a cup at our events. It saves money, it’s less trash to throw away and we’ve received some really nice coffee cups. Thank you again.
Management and Staff will be hosting our Annual BBQ on Thursday, July 10th at the Sundial Center. The doors will open at 1:00. We will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, fruit and cake. This is our way of showing appreciation to our wonderful community. Hope you can make it!
Our office will be closed on Friday July 4th. We would like to remind the community that FIREWORKS ARE PROHIBITED on the property. As always, our neighbors will be shooting off fireworks making us feel a bit vulnerable to fireworks falling out of the sky. If you are concerned at all, please call the Salem Police Non-Emergency at 503-588-6123. Make sure to report the address when you call.
As always, we would like to thank all the volunteers that help during our events, welcome new residents to our community and bring sentiment to our residents who have lost a loved one. All that you do for our Sundial Community is greatly appreciated.
A final word of gratitude for those that volunteer their time to help others here at Sundial. Your time is always appreciated. We have the most wonderful community here in Salem and it is because of YOU.
