Hello Osprey Bay Residents, September is here, and with it comes a new month, new activities, and plenty happening throughout Osprey Bay. As our community continues to grow, I know how important it is that residents feel informed about what is happening around them. I also know there have been some frustrations surrounding the gate and concerns about individuals accessing areas of the community who should not be here. These concerns have been heard, and I want you to know that we have been actively working behind the scenes toward solutions. At the end of August, our contractor is scheduled to come the first week of September to begin several important security improvements throughout the community. MAIN ENTRANCE GATE & INTERCOM: A new intercom system is being installed at the entrance as part of the work intended to address the ongoing gate issue and improve how access into the community is managed. POOL DOOR & KEY-FOB ACCESS: Residents will be able to access the pool using their key fobs, providing an additional layer of security for the amenity. SECURITY CAMERAS: Cameras are being added by the gym and pool at the Fitness Center to provide additional monitoring of these amenity areas. I appreciate everyone’s patience while we work through these improvements. Some solutions take more time and coordination than any of us would like, but please know that these matters are not being ignored. At the same time, there is a lot to be excited about! We have officially welcomed our new Lifestyle Director, Tara, and September brings a full calendar of opportunities to get out, have fun, and spend time with your neighbors. F E AT H E R & T I D E MEET TARA — OUR NEW LIFESTYLE DIRECTOR! We are so excited to officially welcome Tara to Osprey Bay as our new Lifestyle Director! Tara joins us with more than 27 years of hospitality experience, having worked throughout her career at resorts, hotels, and country clubs. Most recently, she spent the past two years at Lexington Country Club, where she helped create and coordinate events and activities for its residents. Originally from New Jersey, Tara has called Florida home for the past six years and loves the Florida lifestyle. What attracted Tara to Osprey Bay was the opportunity to build a lifestyle program from the ground up and make an impact. For Tara, lifestyle is about much more than simply putting events on a calendar. And she already has plenty of ideas! Tara is excited about bringing experiences such as Casino Night, Murder Mystery events, comedy shows, New Year’s celebrations, and perhaps one day her vision for a big Osprey Bay Country Fair with food trucks, entertainment and a great band. But not everything has to be a big party. Tara also wants to offer different types of experiences for different interests, including pop-up markets, ladies’ nights, men’s nights, health and wellness classes, wine & paint events, movie nights, casino trips and fishing charters. Most importantly, she wants residents involved.

Have a hobby? A hidden talent? An idea you’ve always thought would be fun at Osprey Bay? Tara wants to hear about it. She would also love residents interested in volunteering or helping with event setup to get involved. You are welcome to stop by and introduce yourself, although appointments are preferred since Tara may sometimes be off-site working on activities and events. And when she’s not planning something fun? You’ll probably find Tara staying active at the gym, walking, swimming, enjoying the beach, playing cornhole or pool, trying a new restaurant, listening to live music—or spending time with her two fur babies, Nala and Juni. Her bucket-list destination? Australia! Tara describes herself as fun, friendly, outgoing, creative and energetic, and she is always open to new ideas. Her goal says it best: “A year from now, I hope Osprey Bay is a place where residents can have fun, stay active, meet new people, and always have something to look forward to.” A SMALL FAVOR FROM US

Tara is brand new and is still getting familiar with Osprey Bay, our residents, our facilities, our systems, and everything that goes into her new role. We know everyone has ideas—and we want those ideas! But please give Tara a few days to settle in, get organized, and learn her way around before we completely fill up her suggestion box. There will be plenty of time to share ideas and help shape what comes next.

A Look Back: Our Hawaiian Party

Aloha, Osprey Bay! What a wonderful time we had at our Hawaiian Party! Our Clubhouse was transformed into our own little tropical getaway, complete with colorful decorations, great food, drinks, live music and, most importantly, wonderful company. Seeing residents laughing, talking, eating together—and even getting up to dance— was exactly what the evening was all about. A huge MAHALO to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a fun evening. Events are only as special as the people who show up and enjoy them, and we loved seeing so many of you there. To everyone who attended, danced, laughed, helped, or simply came by to spend time with your neighbors: thank you! We hope this was one of many memorable evenings together at Osprey Bay.

A Sweet August Send-Off! Before we officially said goodbye to August, we had to squeeze in one more sweet celebration! In honor of National Banana Split Day, Osprey Bay welcomed an Ice Cream Truck on August 25 for a fun afternoon treat. Sometimes the simplest events are the best excuse to step outside, grab something sweet, run into a neighbor and enjoy a few minutes together. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and joined us! And now... on to September!

Easy Z ucchini Bread INGRE D IENTS • 1 & 3/4 cups (220g) all-purpose flour • 2 tsp ground cinnamon • 1 tsp baking soda • 1/2 tsp salt • 1/2 cup (125ml) vegetable oil • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar • 2 large eggs • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 2 cups (1 medium) grated zucchini, (do not peel or drain the excess moisture)
INSTR UC TIO N S 1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease a 9x5” loaf pan. 2. In a large bowl, toss together the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. 3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. 4. Stir in the grated zucchini. 5. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Spoon batter into the prepared baking pan. 6. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
