Hello Oceanside Residents, Happy March! Spring is almost here!
We have forms available in the office for a Mobile Home Rental Assistance Program, apply to see if you qualify.
As a reminder, there is a red flag on the front of the mailboxes. When the flag is up, that means the mail has been delivered for the day.

With warmer weather on its way, on Mondays we will be having walks around the park at 10am. Meetup at the clubhouse (Weather Permitting). Fire Pit Fridays at 5pm by the pool, BYOB (Weather Permitting). Wacky Weenie Wednesday for $5 from 4-6pm starting back up on certain Wednesdays, so be sure to check the calendar. Pinochle every Tuesday at 2pm in the clubhouse, all are welcome to play.
Sunday, March 1st our pool officially opens for the season!
Thursday, March 12th @ 12pm we will be having a Lunch & Learn with Katlin Floyd, Attorney at Law, to talk about wills, power of attorneys and more. Lunch will be served, sign up in the office.
Wednesday, March 17th @ 5pm, we will be having our St. Patty’s Day Party. Sign up in the office.
Wednesday, March 18th @ 9am, we will be having Donuts with Deputies. Sheriff Deputies will be in to talk about Safety & Scams. Sign up in the office.
The Pelican’s Baseball Team is starting back up again! We have Saturday, May 2nd booked for the 7pm game on the lower level behind 1st base. Tickets are $15 cash, you must see Kat at the office to pay/ sign up by March 31st. The Social Committee will be picking up the rest of the cost difference.
Since everyone had such a great time at the Christmas Party, we’ve decided to book it again this year! It will be a sit-down dinner on Saturday, December 12th at the Litchfield Country Club. Now’s the time to start putting money aside each month!

There will be a signup sheet at the office where you can put your name & address down to be considered for our yearly tree trimming. Remember, it’s up to the tree trimmers discretion as to what they feel is necessary to trim. The last day to sign up is March 31st, anyone who doesn’t sign up by the 31st will be put on the list for 2027.

In the works for April! A Boozy Easter Egg Hunt, Beer & Brats!! Beer tasting followed by brats cooked on the grill and our Community Yard Sale will be April 10th & 11th from 8am-2pm.

Social Committee Meeting - 1st Monday of the month (March 2nd) at the Clubhouse. Bring your ideas for upcoming monthly events. All are welcome. We are in need of more volunteers to help with events, please consider helping.

Birthday Potluck Dinner - 2nd Tuesday of the month (March 10th) 5pm at the Clubhouse - Let’s celebrate our neighbors who have a birthday this month. Hosted by Barbara & Nancy. Main dish and Birthday Cake will be provided. Bring a side dish or appetizer to share. BYOB. All are welcome. RSVP- Sign up in office and let us know what you plan to bring.

Book Club - Every 3rd Thursday of the month @ 3pm at the Clubhouse. (March 19th) A “Novel Bunch” of folks gather for the joy of reading. All are welcome. Show up at the next meeting and find out the details. BYOB. Hosted by Machelle.

Walk the Park - Every Monday @ 10am, come meet at the Clubhouse to walk around the park. Weather Permitting.
Firepit Fridays - Meet at the pool area near the firepit @ 5pm. BYOB.

• 1/2 pound bacon strips, chopped
• 1/4 cup chopped onion
• 1-1/2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes (about 5 medium), peeled and cubed
• 1 can (14-3/4 ounces) cream-style corn
• 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
1. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp, stirring occasionally. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. Discard drippings, reserving 1-1/2 teaspoons in pan. Add onion to drippings; cook and stir over medium-high heat until tender.
2. Meanwhile, place potatoes in a large saucepan; add water to cover. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium; cook, uncovered, 10-15 minutes or until tender. Drain, reserving 1 cup potato water.
3. Add corn, milk, salt, pepper, potatoes and reserved potato water to saucepan; heat through. Stir in bacon and onion.
