Townhall Meeting Summary & Blast from the Past

President Deb Hopper called the meeting to order at 10 am. Board Members present; Saskia Tepe, Connie Kastad, Glenda Ridley, Lenore Loerch, and Paul Brihn. Also present were newly elected members (term starts in November 2022) Phil Materniak & Sharon Shetler.

Treasurers report - September 3, 2022 Balances; Rec Fund = $4,838.55, Savings $3501.94, and Petty Cash $347.00. An Audit was completed by Al Eichenberg and Sharon Shetler, the books were in order. $3,400 was available for donations this year, which will leave $101.94 in the savings. DAV $600, Head-start $600, Hope House $600, and Coolidge Kids Camp $1600. (The recipients came and received their donations at Friday morning donuts.) FUN DAYS: Friday March 11th free donuts and Corn Hole Tournament. Saturday events begin at 10 am with Parade line-up, followed by games and food truck, fundraiser event at 1 pm, and finishing with SW Surfers Band at 2 pm. A food truck will provide the food. Discussed moving Fun Days to Friday. Next year Pat E. said that she would be hosting Can Am again in February. Glenda reminded people that she coordinated the Newsletter this year and will do so again next year starting in November, all items need to be to her by October 12th to be submitted by the 15th . A 5-year-old Minnesota boy from Roseau, MN purchased a notebook holder at a yard sale and he found this 1994 advertisement in it. His mother thought that we all would enjoy seeing what the good old days looked like!
