Painted Daisies With Jill Finley Technique: Piecing, Applique Skill level: Intermediate This class will focus on applique. Students will learn Jill’s method of turned edge applique and the techniques for making each of the shapes, stems, and vines. You will also learn how to stitch your applique either by hand or by machine. Wednesday, 9 am - 4 pm Happy Dash With Janet Nesbitt Technique: Piecing Skill level: Beginner In this class, students will learn the basics of Janet Nesbitt’s “crazy” piecing technique with a cute project that can be completed during class. This trademark piecing method is easy and forgiving, ensuring quilting success for piecers of all levels. This is not a traditional piecing method in the sense that everything lines up, instead this as an alternative to traditional paper piecing which can be difficult for some that have difficulty working in reverse/from the wrong side. Beach Umbrella Day 1 With Judy Niemeyer Technique: Piecing, Foundation Paper Piecing Skill level: Intermediate Work with Judy Niemeyer and local Certified Instructor, Cindy Haddick, in this 2-day workshop to make a custom Quiltworx pattern called Beach Umbrella! This design is not available as a general Quiltworx publication but was specifically created for Garden of Quilts in 2022. In this class, you will learn some beginner and intermediate foundation paper piecing techniques necessary to make Quiltworx designs. Wednesday, 2 pm - 5 pm Tsunami With Deonn Stott Technique: Piecing Skill level: Beginner Simple, straight-seam construction and big, easy blocks create the effect of movement in this dynamic quilt design! This striking quilt gives the illusion of curves yet is pieced entirely with straight seams. Use yardage or repurpose old jeans for the perfect upcycled quilt!

Winter Icon Ornament With Amy Chappell Technique: Applique, Hand Embroidery Skill level: Beginner Create a set of beautiful handmade ornaments in this relaxing hand sewing class. Learn how to transfer patterns onto felt, wrapping hoops, and basic embroidery stitches to add personality and fun. In this class, students will learn the basics of felt wool applique. Quilt-As-You-Go Cosmetic Bags With Jill Repp Technique: Piecing, “Sew By Number” Skill level: Beginner Learn the fast and easy method of constructing 2 quilted cosmetic bags using Quilt-As-You-Go printed batting. Simply sew by number! Each student will get printed batting for two cosmetic bags (large and small) along with 2 pre-sewn Zippity Do Done™ Zippers to complete their set of cosmetic bags. We’ll demonstrate easy ways to get fabrics cut, pressed, and ready for the Quilt-As-You-Go process and will then begin assembling one of the two cosmetic bags. Once the sides of the bag are done, we’ll add the pre-sewn Zippity Do Done™ Zippers to the bag and finish the construction. Students can expect to completely finish one bag in the class and have another one to take home. Students will get to choose from 1 of 6 colors of the pre-sewn zippers. Super Snowflake With Heather Peterson Technique: Piecing Skill level: Intermediate Super Snowflake features an oversized snowflake design that creates a dramatic winter quilt.
