Integrated Green Living Landscapes of Need
Project Info: Plot Area: 300sqm Location: Roeland Street, Cape Town, South Africa
”Integrated Green Living" is a revolutionary urban community that transcends traditional living spaces, seamlessly weaving together life, work, and lifestyle in the heart of the bustling city. This innovative structure redefines urban living by emphasizing a profound connection to urban agriculture and community identity. The project revolves around the revival of age-old concepts, harmoniously blending outdoor landscapes with indoor spaces to create a sustainable and communal ecosystem. Within the building, the boundaries between different aspects of life blur, offering residents a unique perspective on city living. The design of ” Integrated Green Living" aims to integrate every facet of life, fostering an interconnectedness between its inhabitants and their surroundings. This building is not just a structure but a vital thread in the city's environmental tapestry, promoting a deeper connection to the land. In essence, ”Integrated Green Living" transforms urban living into a holistic, interconnected experience that goes beyond providing a mere place to live or work. It stands as a living example of thoughtful design fostering community, sustainability, and a profound connection to the environment.

Three Rivers
Landscape of Memory
Project Description
Project Info: Plot Area: 300sqm Location: Royal Observatory, Cape Town , South Africa
The Khoi-San, once nomads thriving along the Black, Lies Beek, and Salt Rivers, faced transformation with Dutch colonization. Water, once lifegiving, became a tool for oppression. As South Africa transitioned, the rivers symbolized hope. "Three Rivers Heritage Museum" narrates the Khoi-San story, exploring water's dual role across eras: division during colonization and unity in the post-colonial era. The museum design integrates Khoi-San living principles, – a sustainable, harmonious relationship with nature. From visual elements to sustainable systems and landscaping, every aspect of the museum aims to encapsulate the essence of Khoi-San culture. The project celebrates their enduring legacy and profound impact on South Africa's diverse cultural landscape.

Disconnectedness Landscape of Connection
Project Description
Project Info: Plot Area: 2000sqm Location: Trafalgar Park, Cape Town , South Africa
In the heart of Woodstock lies a place born out of chaos and historical transformation. This neighbourhood, shaped by the expansion of Dutch and British colonizers, the sweeping forces of urbanization, and the painful forced removals during the apartheid regime in District Six, carries with it a complex tapestry of disconnectedness, social divides, and economic challenges. Trafalgar Park, at the heart of this dynamic district, reflects this disjointed history. It's a place defined by harsh edges, imposing walls, closed boundaries, and minimal access points. This landscape embodies the profound sense of disconnectedness that has echoed through the community's past. Yet, this very disconnectedness becomes the cornerstone of a bold and innovative concept. My vision aims to revitalize the pool's periphery, making it a central element in the transformation of Trafalgar Park, uniting both the Pool Precinct and the Park and connecting it to the Broader Woodstock.
