banned and we were all silenced! But now the time has come to lift our voices once more as Gareth Malone brings his new tour, ‘Sing-Along-AGareth!’ to venues across the UK this autumn. Audiences will get to enjoy an evening of songs that Gareth has sung on TV over the last 15 years, and many of the tracks that were performed by him along with the hugely successful ‘Great British Home Chorus’ - which saw thousands of people around the country sing with Gareth from their kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms during the pandemic, including: I’m Still Standing – Elton John Walking On Sunshine – Katrina and the Waves Ordinary World - Duran Duran Somewhere Only We Know - Keane Stand By Me - Ben E. Internationally celebrated Shobana Jeyasingh Dance presents this explosive union of opera, dance and film in a thrillingly inventive new production.

Inspired by Monteverdi’s masterpiece, Il Combattimento, in this visceral production the fiery Saracen female warrior Clorinda battles the Crusader Tancredi in ancient Jerusalem, ferociously defiant in the face of danger. The second half brings us bang up to date, catapulting Clorinda into the 21st century as a woman still determined to tell her own story in her own way. Bold and achingly beautiful, the epic story of Clorinda, exposes a world of violence, resilience and love across the boundaries of culture and time. Shobana Jeyasingh Dance is one of the most dynamic and distinctive forces in UK dance. The performance on Tuesday 15 November will be followed by a free Post Show Talk with Shobana Jeyasingh, chaired by Susan Jones, Professor Emerita (English Literature) at St Hilda’s College Oxford and Director of Dance Scholarship Oxford (DANSOX).
