TheCPFThabazimbirecently,in a media statement issued on social media, responded to a message that has been going around that there is an allegation of a young boy, that was found in a fridge, and that the SAPS in Thabazimbi was refusing to assist the family with the case. In the media statement, CPF confirmed that these allegations are most definitely not true. A spokesperson of the CPF confirmed to the media: “We followed up on the information andfound it to befalse Further investigation will be conducted to apprehend the persons spreading this information” They then also made it very clear: “We want to inform the public that making false allegations and spreading false information can have serious consequences. These kinds of messages can cause a lot of tension incommunities and can lead to violentoutbursts. Please think before you spread such messages and know that you canbeheldaccountable."
