The Graduate School, founded in 1965, awards masters, specialist and doctoral degrees in more than fifty programs. We have a vibrant and diverse graduate community that includes over 2000 students enrolled across the ten colleges and schools that comprise Augusta University. Our Graduate School faculty members hold primary appointments in the Colleges of Allied Health Sciences, Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Business, Dentistry, Education, Medicine, Nursing, Science & Mathematics, and the Schools of Computer and Cyber Sciences and Public Health. As a result, the Graduate School is unique among all of the Augusta University stakeholders, serving as a point of connection and collaboration among our schools and programs with the single mission of facilitating ground-breaking research and ensuring outstanding education.

The journey likely included unanticipated challenges, but also hopefully unexpected surprises and moments that made you pause and reflect on what you were doing and why you were doing it. Getting to commencement required so many things: your commitment to your program and resiliency, the unwavering support of your family and friends, the encouragement of your faculty and program directors, and the support of the Graduate School. Commencement has two definitions: 1) a ceremony in which degrees are conferred upon graduating students and 2) a beginning or start. The mission of the Graduate School at Augusta University is to facilitate ground-breaking research and ensure outstanding education.
