Director’s Note

Thank you all for coming to see our show!

I am so excited you decided to spend your evening with us and to see this wonderful show that so many people have worked so hard on to perform for you. In fact, years ago this show was on TGRC’s roster and I was set to direct it but COVID happened. I am deeply honored that TGRC thought of me when they put this show on their roster and even more honored to have this show at Reidsville High School where I teach Theatre, Technical Theatre, and IB Theatre.

I wanted this show to be a product of everyone and not just from one source. To that end, we as a production staff opened up to each other, the cast, the crew, and the community for ideas and feedback as we went through the process. This group has been an absolute pleasure to work with and are an extremely talented group of people. We truly have honored the concept of community in this community theatre production. We hope you sit back, watch, enjoy something from the encore cafe, and appreciate the love and effort put into this production.

ROALD DAHL’S MATILDA THE MUSICAL is presented through special arrangement with Musical Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also provided by MTI. www.mtishows.com

The recording of the production is strictly prohibited.
