Welcome to a brand-new season at the Theatre Guild of Rockingham County! We are thrilled to have you join us as we embark on an incredible journey through our 2024-2025 season, which we’ve titled : This season is all about celebrating stories of resilience, courage, and the indomitable spirit that drives us forward—on stage and in life. We have an exciting lineup of shows that promise to inspire, entertain, and leave you feeling unstoppable!
October: Disney's The Descendants This highenergy musical brings the children of Disney's most infamous villains to life as they navigate the complexities of being good or evil in a story that reminds us all of the power of choice, The Descendants is the perfect way to kick off our unstoppable season.
November: A Piece of My Heart A powerful drama that tells the true stories of six women who served in Vietnam, this poignant play takes us through their experiences during the war and their struggles to reintegrate into society. It’s a deeply moving tribute to the courage and sacrifice and a reminder of the strength it takes to heal from the scars of war.
March: Akeelah and the Bee Follow young Akeelah Anderson as she overcomes obstacles and defies the odds to compete in the National Spelling Bee. This heartwarming story is a testament to the power of determination, the importance of community, and the unstoppable spirit of a young girl who refuses to give up on her dreams.
June: Matilda Based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl, this musical tells the story of an extraordinary little girl with a big imagination and even bigger dreams. A story that celebrates the triumph of good over evil, Matilda is the perfect finale to our unstoppable season.
