AC/DC Central Battery Slave Light Fittings

Overview AC/DC Central battery units require the use of special lights known as ‘slave fittings’. The slave fittings obtain their emergency power supply from a separate central bank of batteries. The central battery system makes maintenance and testing easier, and fittings are available in 24V, 50V, 110V and 230V AC/DC.

Stratos Slave Fittings

The Stratos range of slave fittings offers a slimline profile in contemporary design. Each light is supplied with a legend pack as standard. Optional drop down exit blades and semi-recessing kits are available. (see page 16 for full details). As the name implies a central battery emergency light is one where it’s power comes from one source. The central battery slave fittings do not have an integral battery but rely on the central battery to supply them. Central battery systems come in either maintained or non-

maintained. They must be wired in fire rated cables.
