The Duo 6 Energiser is a versatile and reliable unit, powered by either four D-cell batteries or a 12V leisure battery. Designed for ease of use, it mounts directly onto the supplied two-piece earth stake, which also serves as the mounting post. The kit includes both live and earth connection leads, allowing for quick and straightforward setup. Its practical and portable design makes it ideal for strip grazing, small to medium-sized paddocks, and temporary fencing at shows or events. Featuring an adjustable pulse rate to extend battery life, the Duo 6 can power up to 4,000 metres of single fence line or approximately 6 acres of paddock under optimal conditions.

AGRIFENCE GW100 RF / WIFI GATEWAY

The Agrifence GW100 RF Gateway provides full visibility and control of your Agrifence smart fencing MBX and DPX RF system, allowing you to manage it remotely via a mobile or PC app. Connected via WiFi to a cloud-based platform, it enables you to monitor and manage all connected devices from anywhere in the world. It also sends instant alerts when set limits are exceeded and logs performance data for ongoing monitoring. Each gateway can support and monitor up to 12 smart fencing energisers.

The gateway gathers operational data from all connected devices and displays it on a clear, large LCD screen. Users can remotely control energizers, including turning them on or off, adjusting power output to 50% or 100%, and setting individual alarms for each device.

With the standard RF antenna, the system offers a communication range of up to 10 km, which can be extended to 30 km by installing external RF antennas. It operates via a free wireless RF connection, with no SIM card required.

The fence lengths shown are maximum recommended assuming favourable conditions with little or no vegetation. This figure allows for multiple strands provided there are regular interconnecting lines between them. To allow for variations in fence conditions we advise that you select a condutor that is suitable for twice the length of your intended fence.

Megarope has unique construction with conductivity on the outside of the rope giving very good electrical contact with the animal. It is suitable for medium to long fences in all conditions.

Megaline is over 20x more conductive than Easyline and has a large 0.5mm galvanized steel wires wound in a unique cross over design around the outside maximising the opportunity for contact.

Suitable for very long distances for semi permanent or permanent fences in all conditions. Maxiline have extra reinforcing in the weave and extra large diameter wires.

Maxiline is available – the Maxiline 3 is 30x more conductive than standard polywires while the Maxiline 9 is 80x more conductive.

High performance braided polywire suitable for very long distances for semi permanent or permanent fences in all conditions.

Maxibraid is approximately 10x more conductive than Easyline 9 and is available in white with red.

Electric Fence Specification

ELECTRIC FENCE SPECIFICATIONS

There is no definitive rule as to the number of wires needed on an electric fence, nor the height and spacing they can be set at as each site can be unique and animals do vary in size and temperament. Often, a single electrified wire is enough to contain a docile animal.

If an animal does pass through an electric fence it is usually because either a) it did not touch any electrified wire or b) there was insufficient power on the fence to deter it.

In the first instance you would need to increase the number of wires on the fence, and in the second you would need to check the quality of the earthing, the power of the energizer and the type of conductor you are using.

When erecting a fence for your animals consider where the animal is least insulated, or where current is most likely to be able to penetrate their fur and set lines accordingly.

Some examples of possible configurations of fencing for various animals are illustrated below.

How does it work?

An electric fence only becomes a circuit when there is contact between the fence and the ground at the same time, ie; when an animal touches it. The energiser sends an electrical pulse to the fence which is carried along the tape, rope or wire.

If an animal touches the fence it is acting as a switch allowing the pulse to travel through it to the ground and back to the energiser via the earth rod, thus completing the circuit and giving the animal a mild corrective shock.

More than 2500v? Less than 2500v?

Your fence is wo rk ing ok. However if your voltage reading is lower than usual proceed to nex t step.

Your ear th stake should h ave some charge but not more 500v. Either your ear th stake is not in the ground properly, or the soil is too dr y/rocky/sandy. Add additional ear th stakes at a minimum of 2m intervals and connec t using galvanised wire or leadout cable. Continue to add more ear th stakes until the vo ltage on the ear th stake falls below 500v. H as this so rted the problem?
