When we were developing our rise and recline chairs, we wanted you to sit down and immediately feel the difference. We wanted a chair to fit you and not the other way around, a chair adjustable to your needs with the adaptability to change with your body.
We know everyone is different, what one person finds comfortable, another may not. The limitless choice of positioning and patented movement of our chairs enables you to find the perfect position for all-day comfort and support, with all the associated benefits to your health.
We also try to keep things simple and easy to understand with two models, Retreat and Retreat Plus, both offered in small, medium or large and three neutral colours, all designed to compliment the modern or traditional home. We use high quality materials along with smart design and intuitive controls to give you an exceptionally comfortable chair with unrivalled support.

Retreat
Experience the freedom to find the perfect position for you. The Retreat has a fully independent footrest and seat back, allowing you to tailor your seating position completely to your needs.
The benefits to health, posture and mobility are significant but what matters most to someone spending a significant amount of time in their chair is comfort. High quality fabric, comfy cushioning and perfectly supported posture combine to make your chair the best seat in the house.
The Retreat movement is designed to give you a ‘tilt-in-space’ experience, meaning the angle of your hips and knees remain in alignment throughout the motion. As the chair moves into a reclining position, the seat base rises to prevent a gap forming between the seat back and base. This provides continuous support and comfort throughout the motion. This patented movement also reduces an effect known as ‘sheering’ found on other chairs which is when the seat back and base move apart during the reclining motion, opening a large gap between the two sections.
There’s no need to put pressure on your muscles and joints as your chair takes care of standing up and sitting down. The Retreat will gently raise you from a reclined position to standing and back down again.

Four memory functions allow easy access to positions such as Sleep to lay as flat as possible or Zero Gravity for a feeling of weightlessness and even distribution of bodyweight.
The gentle raising and lowering action assists getting in and out of the chair. This reduces excess pressure on muscles and joints, making standing and sitting easier and safer.
Backlit handset for accessibility in low light, making it easy to find and easy to access favourite settings quickly. Memory buttons allow favourite positions to be pre-set.
Retreat Plus
All the features of the Retreat, plus even more movement and function for enhanced comfort and support. The patented Twilight movement enables a fully supportive tilting action, providing pressure relief for your back and legs, whatever position you are in. This enhanced tilt-in-space motion provides far more positioning options, improved weight distribution and a feeling of weightlessness without the need to be in a lay flat position.
With the chair fully reclined and tilted back, the Retreat Plus can be adjusted into a position elevating the feet above the head. This can aid healthy circulation and relieve tension and pressure in lower limbs, easing the day-to-day pressures on the body.
As you recline your chair and move into different positions, the independent head support allows fine adjustments for comfort and facilitates movement for activities such as reading and watching TV. The Independent lumbar support can relieve pressure or add support to your lumbar region at the touch of a button.
The easy repositioning of the Retreat Plus helps to prevent stiffness and promote movement in the joints and muscles. A chair with a range of motion to aid mobility beyond just helping you sit and stand.
