To see my Mom, Dr. Sonia Velez, honored at this year’s Hospital Ball makes me so proud to say I’m her son. She has worked very hard her whole life, doing things that others said she couldn’t do. My Mom has built her life from the ground up and look at where she’s at now! I’ve always seen her putting 100% of her effort in her work; not only in the hospital, but in her everyday life and loves doing it. She always wants to help anyone who needs it and will go out of her way to do so. Seeing all the things she’s accomplished in her life and plans to h accomplish in the future proves that success will follow with hard work and determination. I know she makes me and everyone in our family super proud as well as my grandpa who is looking down from heaven and smiling as a proud father for all that his amazing daughter has done.
