The climate in Houston, Texas is humid subtropical, characterized by hot summers, mild winters, and high humidity levels throughout the year. Average summer temperatures average in the 90s°F (30-35°C), while winter temperatures usually hover around the low 60s to low 70s°F (1218°C). The city also receives significant rainfall, primarily in the spring and fall months. The combination of heat and humidity can make for uncomfortable conditions during the summer months, but the mild winters provide a pleasant respite from the heat.
